For those of you with lots of experience with Star Wars...
How do we handle conditional soak? Was there an example in Terrinoth that I missed? Soak 3 versus most stuff, but Soak 6 versus guns, etc.?

It's just that: conditional. If an attack is from a blaster weapon, the soak is 2; otherwise, it's 1. I imagine Genesys/Terrinoth examples are the sameāif you're getting shot with an arrow, the soak is 2; otherwise, it's 1.
If you're wondering how to note it, I typically put an asterisk next to the character's soak value and then write a note in the margins of my character sheet.
I assigned weapons a 'Piercing/Slashing/Bludgeon' type and then various armors are better or worse vs those types of attacks. It allows a bit more granularity in armor types from the ones presented but it requires a little more book-keeping to keep up with it. So far, it's worked well.
Take a look at the nanite swarm (CRB188) for an example of something similar to conditional soak (it halves damage from all but specific weapon qualities, but same idea).
For the most part, it was simply noted in the description. "This armor provides X soak against A weapons only, and Y soak against all other weapons." "The character gains X soak while doing blah."
