Yes please.

The old one is bland and unappealing. And don't get me started on the top cannon ...

Yeah, the top cannon on the E-Wing annoys me too. Why there? Firing the cannon would likely blind the pilot with muzzle flashes. They could easily have stored it in the nose or under the fuselage and not have hampered the pilot's vision at all..

Ahah, wow. Such a barbed comment. When have I ever said anything like that to you? Have my opinions made me so deserving? Man.

Preferring the Actis, if that’s what it’s called, to the objectively beautifuller Aethersprite is clearly a dark side trait.

FROM MY POINT OF VIEW THE ACTIS IS EVIL!

Also, LOOK HOW SMALL THAT A-WING IS!!!

Probably should have added another set of wings with two more cannons. That’s a good solid design.

Oh wait, that’s an X-wing, nvm.

is it bad I don't care enough about prequel ships to know their proper names?

All I hear is gibberish from them as well.

Seconded. Just look at the size of the T47.

Maybe that’s a T-48.

thats a thing, right?

The ETA -2 A cti s is cooler than the Delta-7 Aethersprite.

Well that goes without saying. No ship is quite as boring and uninspired as the aethersprite.

You’re boring and uninspired. ?

I disagree to some extent . Because it does show clear lineage for what could become the A-Wing, but also shows us, via ETA-2, how the TIE Fighter began to exist.

Yeah, but in such a forced way! It’s so in your face - “LOOK! TIE FIGHTER BITS!” The Aethersprite was elegant. It was an A-Wing for a more civilised age.

I would definitely prefer a sleeker looking E-Wing resculpt. I don't care about the center gun, I just want a more angular look instead of the current blobby one.

It's also the most realistic ship in Star Wars.

How can we say that without knowing the futuristic physics involved? I mean like how their engines etc are supposed to work, not like the dimensional folding that lets an astromech occupy a space one third the volume of its body! :P

Because THAT’S a hard bar to clear.

Um.... The mech was hardwired into the original Aethersprite, and mounted in front of the cockpit in the b version.

Anyway, I personally like the E-Wing. Yes. Even the upper cannon. But hey, to each his own.

Only in regards to the Aetherpsrite and the ARC 170. I’m sure you already know which one the ARC 170 is (you’re welcome everybody), the Aetheraprite is that gorgeous triangular one on the left of the picture. And surely you know the N1 because everyone goes on about it, even though it’s far from the best looking ship in the prequels?

ARC170, N1, yea I know those. But I always thought the Aether was the Delta7. I guess they are one in the same. whatever. They kept changing the ships up in Clone Wars/prequels I stopped caring.

wait what?

in other news, that e-wing sculpt has been ordered. finally got me off my wallet to order the bits I need for my Legion SCAR troopers too. yay?

It's summer! I don't want to be sitting at my table working on models, I wanna go outside and stuff... but X-Wing.... aw man.

Well, we saw in TLJ that post-Endor, lasers arc through space on a ballistic trajectory. Clearly the E-Wing is meant for long-range fighting, and the top placement allows it to elevate.
