Thanks again for the content - plan to download and listen this week!

Do you have any plans to get Yik back on the show? He was a really engaging guest previously, and would be great to get his take on Worlds too.

I listened to most of your back-catalogue on a recent long car trip - I have no pending long journeys, so this one will have to wait until housework day.

But I enjoy your work - keep it up!

Why dont people ever complain that rebels cant run a two ISD equivalent? A whole archetype they just dont have access to, yet the complaints are always about Imps struggling to run MSU.

I always thought double liberty star cruiser was a good rebel build that imps didnt have an equivalent to - same hitting power, mobility and still plenty of points left over for support.

Mogrok - thanks heaps - fantastic content

Missing from Rogue one:

Dornean Gunshup (Braha’Tok)

which was first seen in RoTJ ?

They can though can’t they, just that their large base battleship/carrier shoots sideways?

Could argue that Two Large Raddus is a better version of it.

It lacks either straight speed, concentrated firepower, or raw survivability in Comparison.

... all have raw less hull than ISDs even before Motti is in play.

... all lack the flexibility of JJ style manoeuvring, instead having to be reliant on nav commands.

... their firepower arcs are, Liberty aside, concentrated tobthe side with rangevsnd are intended more for slashing engagements rather than full on slugfests, and liberties bring their own survivability limitations to the field.

The raw flexibility and “do all” of the ISD has no equivalent Rebel comparison.

I feel that Both the MC75 and Liberty would have to be natively Squad 4 or 10 hull, if not both, to begin to compare.

@Drasnighta

I was comparing the archetype, not the ships- despite not having an ISD, the Rebellion can still put together a Two Large list which can take the fight to the enemy, move squadrons, and take an extreme beating before dying.

You see, to me, it’s the ships that make the archetype. Without the raw all rounded ness of the ISD, it becomes much more difficult... which is a shame, as I’ve been a fan of the dual pickle and dual fish face for a while, and just... still have raw envy because you can’t ever quite seem to match, let alone exceed.

Yep I aiming to get him and Nathan on...just giving everyone a break after worlds and I am doing some traveling over the next weeks so I am also not as available.

I have seen plenty of dual mc80/75 lists at least 1 or 2 at Worlds ....plus they can take two flotillas....plus get a good amount of sqns....But the rebels have better options then tying up points in 2 big ships that can't maneuver...really the only reason dual ISD is even a thing is Vader for the cymoon....and JJ to stop blocking each other.

This was a good episode with a great breakdown of worlds. With a little luck you two will be announcing next year (if you get the cursing under control)!

Unlike Imperials, Rebels don't have ships with the combined durability and firepower of the double ISD. But in exchange, they get vastly more power from their synergy between multiple ships and squads.

To Mogrok and Roquax, I want to say THANK YOU for your brief breakdown of words from the Armada team. I feel more confident than ever that somebody there is still excited for Armada, and it took only a few words from a pair of podcasters to alleviate alot of concern of the community. You should make a brief thread about it if you can to let people know that we're not being ignored.

They need to listen to the cast Lol.

Yah. People need to step back. The company likes all their properties they just aren’t very big so each takes their turn. And obviously the older products get more love. Especially when your announcing a new version that affects more than a third of your revenue. I have faith in this company and the people that I have met that are involved with armada. I also realize that a bunch of complaints also makes some people tune out. I know I’ve been put off by the forums. And discord.

New players coming in don’t want to read 10 page threads on people complaining. About a game that is in the best shape it’s ever been. So I would ask the community to take a step back from the negativity and just enjoy the game that we all love. And not ruin it for the others that don’t feel so negative about the game.

Believe me. Ffg has heard the issues by now. Constantly posting that they hate us or that armada is dead doesn’t help anyone and in fact hurts the community.

Just my two cents.

Agreed 100%!

It is time to move on from the complaining and start focusing on the good parts of the game. I was as disappointed as the next person about the I’ll fated hyperspace report, but disappointment and anger only get you so far.

I did not go to Worlds, but felt energized from the vibes coming from the competitors who posted about it. We are in a good place right now and will get an announcement sooner or later.

Thanks for the podcast and I look forward to listening to it.

I think there's a need to mention issues with the game in a constructive fashion that includes acknowledging issues, and this is ultimately positive as it gets players thinking critically about what they like and don't like about the game experience.

I also think that it's appropriate to advise FFG that not communicating about their other minis games leaves those players with the sense that nothing is happening as opposed to a sense that things aren't ready to be shown yet. With the prolonged delay between announcements, this gives players a false sense that FFG isn't interested in supporting their games. Simple communication that "we're looking forward to talking about future plans for Armada soon" would alleviate a lot of the worst fears which were exacerbated by the Hyperlane Report and other recent communications missteps.
