Just thought it would be interesting. Maybe we'll get some more configuration of the large ships and maybe some nifty small bases.

Thank you! Could you give us some context what we see here?

Story-wise, it’s Admiral Raddus using a mon cal merchant fleet’s shields to protect his own military forces during the invasion of Dac. Presumably the little ones are the armed craft.
It's from the new Darth Vader Comic. It take place during the subjugation of Mon Cala. Raddus and Ackbar show some real badassery throughout.
Not all are "buildings converted to spaceships" - the Home One types were deep space exploration vehicles before the Mon Cal's rebellion against the Empire.
The merchant ships may, based on these comics, have been temporarily used as buildings - rather than being designed as buildings from the start before being converted to spaceships.
The "buildings that had been secretly upgraded to spaceships - before taking off, surprising the Empire" idea, comes from Rogue One tie-in media - the Visual Guide for it, for example.
Edited by IronlordWhat about those pronged Imperial ships? I don't recognize those.
You guys are just lucky Lord Vader wasn't around to end him.
RIP Raddus (with a side of Caitken and Shollan sauce.)
Back on topic:
The Mon cal ships were often scratch built, and in the old Lore, each Mon Cal ship is different. I think it's a good opportunity for FFG to put out variations of the MC30, MC 75 sort of like the MC80 Liberty type and MC80 Home One Type; game wise, they have the same stats, just different molds (even a smaller MC80 Liberty in the MC30 class).
let's face it, people (and myself included) would purchase them - imagine running two or three MC30 craft and each one looks different!

Jerjerrod is wishing that the fabeled "Move your Commander to another friendly ship" card was genuine...

Dumb Imperials. They didn't forsee the need to make amphibious star destroyers.

Reminds me of one of my favourite Futurama quotes...
“How many atmospheres Of pressure is it rated for?”
“Well, it’s a space ship, so something between 1 and 0...”

When does this thread get locked? Help me, FFG, you're my only hope!
This thread about possible new Mon Cal ships is great.
But to post something that is on topic with this thread, the big ships in that comic panel look like Home One variants, so I'm not sure if we'd ever see them come to Armada. The small ships, on the other hand, may have more of a chance and are interesting.
Right now wingless liberty and the mc40 are most likely, right? Are there any notable mon cal variants that show up in the comics besides these freighters? Also, they aren't MC80 H1 variants? They look a lot fatter, more spherical around the back, and it looks like they are taller than they are wide? It's hard to tell because of individual variation and the comic style.

They look like they have a similar shape to the Raddus... but that's probably because of comic book focus groups. ?
