After getting some more games in, I thought it was time to assess how things are going and where there is room for improvement in my games. To that end, I bring to you Part 1 of the Common Pitfalls series which dives into a few of the common problems that I have run into and ways to possibly improve on this. Nice list. Regarding the importance of reading the card, there are three things I check as soon as I'm done reading and upgrade card, and before I read it a second time:

1. Is it unique? Check if the title of the card is underlined.
2. Is it unit restricted? Check for the Infantry, Cavalry, or Siege symbol in the bottom left corner.
3. Is it faction restricted? Look for the faction icon in the bottom left corner

So many times I read the card the first time, and think of great places to put it in my army, only to realize it's restricted, so I have gotten into the habit checking for those restrictions. But I still make mistakes reading the cards, as you will hear in our next episode of The Runecasters. ?
