Am I reading wrong, or are there no FFG side events like Hangar Bay with FFG promos at Gencon 2018? Just the Friday Swiss and Saturdays Finals?
Hangar Bay or side events and Gencon 2018
If you are looking for something else X-wing related, Shuttle Tydirium is hosting a bunch of events. B-team tournament, Trench Run games, Imperial Star Destroyer games, narrative events. All sorts of stuff. Even Mario Kart X-wing and Tron games.

Pretty sure you're just reading it wrong. I'm pretty sure I saw an FFG Hangar Bay, and I certainly saw an FFG Team Epic on Sunday.

That said, yeah, Tydirium is the big name for side events for X-Wing. 19&One.

There is an FFG Hanger Bay. I’m signed up for it. Not sure it has promos.
