The Tilted Chimaera: How to straigten an ISD?

By Forresto, in Star Wars: Armada

So I just noticed that my Chimaera is tilted to the left slightly only a few days after I could return it...

EDIT: Its not the ship, it doesn't appear to be the stand, the only thing common amongst each ship tilting I've tested is the base.

Is there a fix?

And no I did not fixed them because I do not know

Did you try switching the part that clicks into the base?

I just tried with mine and I discovered it wasn't the ship at all but the stan piece.

I don't have this problem at all but I am happy to try and help.

1. As was mentioned it could be anything. If you have multiple large ships switch ships, bases, and stands in a methodical way and try and determine which piece/combo of pieces is your problem or rule out a piece as being the problem.

2. Make sure the stand is fully locked into place with the base.

3. Make sure you have the Cardboard token in the stand, without it everything is a bit wobbly.

4. Upload some pictures so we can see what is happening, a picture is worth 1,000 words or something like that.

All seven of my ISDs including the Chimaera have a slight tilt downward to the starboard (right) side. I think it's just a quirk in the manufacturing process. Maybe a slight bend in the piece that connects to the base and to the bottom of the ship. I'm not sure if heating the piece and then bending it slightly in the opposite direction would fix the issue. The tilt has kinda grown a bit on me as I think it gives the ships a little character so I'm leaving them as they are.

If I were you I wouldn't play with it too much, if you apply too much pressure connection piece to the main body might cause a crack in the hull.

Can I ask you what are you doing with seven ISDs apart from invading a Rebel system?

I honestly just felt compelled to count my ISDs. The Idea that you had more in your collection was mildly disconcerting. I may actually have a problem.

But I have enough ships and squadrons to host an entire CC, so I got that going for me! ;)

Well, the empire did have 25,000 of them. :D

Joking aside, I enjoy casual play with a thematic twist. I like drawing inspiration for my builds and games from Canon and Legend sources.

No worries. We all build the collection that meets our needs and desires for however we play the game.. It's all about having fun.

Looks like fun, I also love off-script games at Armada, post some pics when you have all 7 ISD fighting together :)

Battle of Attalon, from a thread a while back.

Edit: it's only 6, but still looks glorious.

wow you need a bigger table :) that would be a 1000 point fleet one side,

That's the sort of game you play on a 6x6 or 6x8 table!

I am moving at the end of the month, and I have already packed up my ships. I'll do a pic for you after I get settled in my new space.

I staged Thrawn's fleet on my kitchen table in the pic that Ghost shared from another thread. The game table I have, which was in use at the time, is 4 x 7.
