Plo Koon pairings?

Given all the 8 point non-uniques, there’s tons of possibilities for pairing with an elite Plo Koon. Generic Jedi and Partisans with a few mill cards could be nasty... Rookie pilot with Acolyte could be fun. Toss in Plo’s Fighter and there’s got to be some good combos somewhere.

Any ideas/thoughts?

also, what other forum do people hang out at for Destiny? For a game this size, this forum is a graveyard.

Two Outer Rim Smugglers May be interesting. That last card in your hand will net you four resources. Seems there may be a Support deck there.

I see in the article they mention one Padawan. Two Padawans seems ideal. You get minus two cost on the first weapon on him. You could have a turn one with 6 resource worth of weapons on your characters. Too bad you can’t run them and Built to Last.

Looking at how they’re worded, I think that’d be 3 resources for Smugglers and just a -1 for Padawans... though I’d be happy to be wrong.

I would think a good combo is one outer rim smuggler and one padawan.

That way you can add 1-2 weapons turn one and another 1-2 in turn 2.

Redeploy is your friend.

Good news! He gains the abilities of each non-unique character you have, and nothing prevents him from having two copies of the same ability (unless that ability is a keyword such as Guardian).

its not how Plo is worded that might trip that up... its how Padawan and Smuggler are worded

In another thread, they’ve already said the abilities for Padawan stack on him. Someone at Worlds got confirmation from the dev team.

Sweet... good to know... not that things like that are ever iron clad, but good enough for me

If an ability were to use the word 'instead,' like Second Chance, Blank One, Dark Counsel, etc., then the abilities wouldn't stack because replacement abilities prevent other abilities from triggering from the same condition as the replacement ability. Padawan doesn't say that, so it's like using two It Binds All Things.

OP: I think ePlo Koon/2x Padawan will be very formidable. There are a few different little tricks you can do with it, too. That's in addition to playing three 2-drop weapons during round 1.

I also really like ePlo Koon/Jedi Instructor/Clone Trooper. With their combined abilities, Plo has a 70% chance to roll out 3-4 melee damage just from his character dice. Jedi Instructor does not say "another character," so there's no reason you wouldn't be able to turn one of his dice to match the symbol of other. Plus, if you run it with Redeploy, Jedi Instructor should have a few upgrades to do decent damage by the time it gets down to her and her 9 health.

Here, Reddit, and the Facebook groups seem to have the most chatter.

1 Cassian, 1 Plo Koon, 1 Jedha Partisan seems to be a decent trilogies mill deck
