In 2015, I bought the original core for my nephews. Also picked them up a few y-wings, picked them up Rebel Aces. It was a good start, I thought. We sat down and played the game. It was really fun. They enjoyed it. I bought them a few more expansions. Then I bought myself a core. That was a mistake.
I adopted the letterbox/shoe box method of storage. I put together fun lists (Tie Swarms/Dash & Poe/brobots etc.) and placed everything you needed in its own box. But I also bought extra copies of expansions, stored them away. Just in case. Then more expansions came out. Then all I needed was one more expansion to make it to free shipping. I'll just get an A-wing.
After organizing most of my collection yesterday, I found a box with six unopened A-wings.
2.0 makes it very easy for me to stop. And that's good. With my collection as is, my nephews' grandkids will be getting expansions for Christmas.
