4x rebels 100 point list (B-Wing, Y-Wing, A-Wing, A-Wing)

By RebelAcesPilot, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I'm still fairly new to X-Wing Mini, I just finished this list that I started on yesterday and haven't tried it yet. I only play against my cousin who is new as well, I haven't been able to beat him yet so he must be cheating, kidding. I'm only ok at piloting and I like flying lots of ships so it's hard for me to keep track but I enjoy building this way anyway. Onto my first serious list:

Keyan Farlander - B-Wing

"When attacking, you may remove 1 stress token to change all of your focus results to hit results."

Engine Upgrade, Push The Limit, HLC

(43)

Gold Squadron Pilot - Y-Wing

R2-D2, Ion Cannon Turret

(27)

2x Prototype Pilot, A-Wing

Chardaan Refit

(15+15)

How should I open? My flight plan is to control priority targets with the ion turret while the B-Wing avoids arcs and deals consistent damage. After playing around with a cheap X-Wing to defend the Y-Wing, I ended up going with 2 A-Wings instead for versatility - they can intercept for the Y-Wing, keep up with the B-Wing, and they're hard to chase.

What kind of lists should I worry about?

Is this viable for a tournament?

I imagine the latter is no since I'm new to this game, but I'd like to learn some reasoning behind that from anyone who can share.

- Downgrade R2-D2 to generic R2 Astromech and get a TLT.

- Drop the Engine Upgrade, take Advanced Sensors

- Crack Shot on both A-Wings

Fly the Y-Wing along the side, with the B-Wing on its inner flank, and use the A-Wings as flankers.

Not viable for tournament, no.

First off: welcome to the game! You have some decent tactical instincts, but there's a few nuances I see in your list that could use work:

1: Prototype Pilots are kinda useless. I'll get to them shortly.

2: Keyan is WILDLY fun, but B-Wings cannot be point loaded, which you definitely have done.

3: R2-D2 is terrible on Y Wings because they have terrible greens.

Here's my thought:

Keyan

Rage

Collision Detector

B-Wing E/2

Inspiring Recruit

Gold Squadron Pilot

Ion Cannon Turret

R3-A2

BTL-A4 Y-Wing

2x Green Squadron Pilots

Chardaan Refit

A-Wing Test Pilot

Snap Shot

Juke

Keyan gets rerolls, a focus for defense, and his ability on offense, with Inspiring Recruit allowing him to clear BOTH stress from rage after he shoots. Collision Detector is just free and the best filler there.

The Y-Wing can throw out both double stress AND Ion control, but will be harder to fly locked into the primary firing arc.

The A-Wings Evade every time, place themselves at range one, Snap Juke, profit. Just fun little whizzers.

Don't be afraid to proxy cards as you are experimenting!
