They call easily pull a bunch from Legends, but I don’t think everyone will be happy about it.

If they pull from legends for scum, why not do the same for the current factions?

Because with basically 2 exceptions, the vast majority of the EU pull was Pre Disney in its design and development phase.

Not really, and they have nothing to gain by making themselves a target for the Government and/or the counter-government. The dinky little corvettes they use for piracy would rather run from those factions than stand and fight.

during the GCW timeline the only factions I could see making a serious fleet effort are the remnants of the CIS which were introduced in rebels and the Yuuzhan Vong from the EU. I would love to see either faction introduced but my optimism for the game is a bit shot at this point so I don't see them introducing anything on the scale of a third faction.

Maybe the game isn't dead, maybe this is just the standard lull that happens with Armada and I say that because I've only been playing since Jan '17, I honestly don't know. What I do know is that it's frustrating and I'm finally starting to put together some of the necrons I'd gotten in the ForgeBane starter set. I'm not jumping ship on Armada, but I'm looking in other directions. This feels like a failed marriage, FFG we need to go to counseling.

I could accept a CIS leftovers faction in the game. There is precedent in official terms.

All I want really is a bit more communication from FFG. I can wait 9 months for a release but at least give us a clue on what it is. Keep the conversation going.
