This reads like a copypasta.

Jokes aside, I thought Armada was commonly thought as looking good for a miniature game.

Maybe correct that some people only hold on because they’ve spent a lot.

Ever since Asmodee took over actually I have noticed a drop in quality overall in articles and prints and such in the products too. Wave 7 was the first time I had some flaws in my products. The large bases I got (2 outta 3 boxes) the bases were VERY noticeably wobbling. And the one distributor only has seen them miss target dates on multiple products. Either way I am scared for FFG. Either they are the cause or Asmodee is the cause. I don't like either thought.

To contrast this (?) I picked up a Neb expansion a month ago and it not only fitted its base/peg (unlike my core set neb) but had a completely different and ultimately better looking paint job. It lacks the wash that I have on my core set neb, which to me looks dirty.

Probably unrelated to the Asmodee takeover but eh.

The core box models always looked horrible:p

Thanks for the clarification sir ;)

I find the doom and gloom posts kind of hilarious. Armada is still selling well and its community is very active. The small attendance to worlds might be explained by the difficulty to get tickets. Don't worry guys, Armada is not getting cancelled anytime soon. My only worry is that we might run out of ships for the new waves soon.

Solo will probably fix that.

I doubt that.

So you don't think we're going to get any new spaceships in the Solo movie? That's a bold prediction.

Triangle suctioncup star destroyer inc. I really do hate that ship

Not ones too useful to us. I doubt the Rebellion will have much presence and the Empire has their ISDs. (Yes I know of the Arrestor but it is so ugly)

It really is one of the worst-looking designs I've seen in a long time, akin to the comic-book artwork depicting what we now call a Gladiator.

$5 bet on Wave 8 being fighter blister packs. I mean, the TIE in Solo isn't going to get paired with a ship. And we don't have enough fighters.....

Dang it, I got some sarcasm on my shirt....<Grabs seltzer water>

Sir I honestly hope you are correct.

This is a great game, I just get frustrated with FFG's scatter brained way of communicating with the loyal player base.

This year has been pretty astoundingly bad for OP kits. Our FLGS has had late shipments for just about every game. Still haven't gotten out Legion kits yet.

My money is on U wing, and the rogue one Ties being a thing. Hopefully we'll get a set of medium based ships, but we'll see.

I'm not really sure how you run a business while not being able to deliver product to your patrons. This reminds me of the KFC thing that happened in Britain but with the recognition nor apology that went along with it.

X-Wing's probably going to get more, but unless it's future squadrons, I don't see Armada getting anything else from Solo. And even though they are prevalent in the trailers, we already have enough ISD variants for the time being. *takes cover*

Lol imagine the shitary show if they put out another wave 3 equivalent.

Or pair the tie with another ISD (good or bad wont matter).

Could mine the salt and harvest the liquid for drought relief.

My bigger concern is the fact that Disney haven't even announced the next standalone film... It could be a looooong wait before we get another OT-era film (and there's no guarantee that the next standalone film will even be set in the OT era).

But FFG haven't been afraid to mine the Legends EU for ships (VSD, MC30, Assault Frigate, etc), so I imagine there's plenty more to come.

This will never be a worry, between Movies, TV Series, Books, and Comics there will never be a lack of content. Any company with a license can bring their concerns to Lucas Film/Disney and they will get new content out if needed or occasionally let that company create their own content (Raider for X-Wing and Armada). Content will never be an issue IMHO.

My main concern is FFG/Asmodee's ability to support all the games they have. They continually miss release dates and now they will eventually have to reprint and/or redesign everything from X-Wing. Legion has an overly optimistic release schedule, IA has a big wave coming although we don't know what the future holds for IA. Armada has always had a slower release schedule which I have been in favor of BUT even that has seemed to slow past the point that I am happy with it. I would prefer 1 release every 9 months or so, that is in hand releases, and at this point FFG would have to announce something very soon and get it to the printer to have any hope of making 9 months since Wave 7.

Armada does have one advantage over every Star Wars game except X-Wing and that is pre-painted Miniatures. This does not just attract more players but it also attracts more casual buyers that just want a good looking model to put on their shelf/desk. IA and Legion don't have that, and Destiny definitely has no chance at attracting the casual SW collector.

My hope/prediction is we get the long sought after SSD, then we get one or two more waves of GCW content. After that I can see adding Resistance and FO content as 2 new factions. This would be a new starter and ships. Based on the new Resistance show coming in 2019 the content for both factions will fill out quickly, similar to what Rebels did for GCW content. We would likely still get GCW content from time to time but the newer factions would need time to catch up, same as what is happening in X-Wing.

not sure but I was really trying to not be salty about not getting a ticket the 3 times I tried. I thought "na, it's ok, it's a good sign that a lot of people are going and it's good for the game that so many people are trying". Nope, instead they only invited 7 armada players and then were amazed that we only got 175 games in which, for 7 whole armada players, is pretty impressive.

I'm like 96% salt content at this point, just ignore me.

The LCG, which this was the FINAL Worlds for, had several people that could not get tickets, I think they capped it at 64 for the LCG. So was Armada capped at 96?
