2.0 - Force regen and design space

We already know about Force and Force-sensitive pilots.
We also know that a small mark near the Force stat means that its reserves slowly replenish each turn.
What if we could get a ship with such a mark near its shields or hull in the future, thus getting the first ship with innate regeneration?

seriously, I believe shield regen would be okay, but hull should stick, otherwise proton bombs are wasted, wampa is worthless... anyway, the idea of innate shield regen is interesting but I think it should be a unique title specific to one ship to prevent more power creep and having top tables only be the ship with innate regen.

Any ship with unlimited shield regen would need a very low base shield value to balance it. So it could regenerate each turn, but it only caps at 1 shield and cannot equip upgrades to increase that value.

One of the core mechanic changes to 2.0 was limited regen. And not just limited, but you lose your ability to fire that round as well. No way they go backwards and give infinite regen.

We had this in 1.0, I don't see them going back to that same mistake again.

Actually, I could see this for Epic ships. Damage control teams giving hull and shield regen while energy has a passive regen in addition to movement regen.

Yeah really not a fan of reverting to 1.0 mechanics when 2.0 isn't even out yet

Unless you're a huge ship, let's just not...

something like the force mechanic beeing almost the only deffence with very low hp would be great...

I hope they get huge ships _right_ this time. They should be able to take a _lot_ of punishment from main weapons, but get popped by a few torpedos.

And the energy system they have is just... Kinda boring. Great ideas that never fully worked out.

The only place I can easily imagine they would use this 'regen triangle' is in Epic 2.0. I could see this regen symbol being used for shields and energy on epic ships. I doubt we'll see it anywhere else other than charges in standard though.
