Three Interceptors - 2.0 Practice

By j_man_04, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I thought I’d try to see what I can do with some Interceptors in the event they are playable again.

I’m trying not to focus on a) Autothrusters and b) pilot skill since they won’t be a thing anymore.

Soontir Fel (37) - TIE Interceptor
Push The Limit (3), Royal Guard TIE (0), Shield Upgrade (4), Hull Upgrade (3)

Royal Guard Pilot (31) - TIE Interceptor
Snap Shot (2), Royal Guard TIE (0), Shield Upgrade (4), Hull Upgrade (3)

Good for you... I've been practicing a 7 tie howlswarm, myself.

For 2.0 practice, the intercepters need PTL. I'd probably go for Saber PTL Mk2 x4 for some basic flying practice.

Nice. The extra points give me an academy TIE for blocking purposes.

PTL is gone in 2.0. Take that off and swap it to something else. VI is also gone in 2.0 as well

It is but it isn’t. Most ships have PTL baked in as opposed to an upgrade.

Beaides, we have very little detail of what is and isn’t gone. What could I switch to that I know will be in 2.0 that makes as much sense as PTL?

PTL is gonna be necessary, just limit your options to what 2.0 would allow

Maybe if casual, see if your opponent is willing to make any concessions on it taking up the ept slot.. If they're also interested in practicing 2.0 (im sure there are quite a few) but it's hard to say what you could get away practicing with in the ept slot ?
