Would you want any (more) Clone War era ships available for Empire or Rebels?

Here we agree.
Lore and story wise they are pretty interesting as as well. This is something they really over over TFA and Rogue One, which both are pretty predictable and thus to me at least bland and boring.

And agreement is gone. ?
Not only is imho Rogue One the worst out of bunch of new ones, but furthermore is the last jedi on par with empire imho.

Granted Rouge one is the only movie that can plausibly make any of our games canon. Heck the whole screenplay looked like the writers sat down to a game of Rebellion/Battlefront/Empire at War and called that the script.

1. ROTS, order 66 was the only emotional moment in the whole series for me, epic space battles and best duel in the series.

2. ESB, Battle of Hoth.

3. Rogue One, Such a different direction for the series and Battle of Scariff was the best ending to any movie.

4. ANH, Classic Han Solo and space battle goodness

5. TPM, Minus Jar Jar and you end up with an awesome movie, especially loved the Battle Droids/Droidekas

6. TFA, Han Solo really made this one enjoyable for me. The fans have brought this one down with their back and forth bitterness and trying to overthink the movie.

7. ROTJ, Great classic star was Jabba'a palace, the Death Star Run and Force Lightning were major highlights. Not a fan of the ewoks...

8. AotC, despite my love of the prequels and the Clone Wars (if the show was a movie it would be first place for me) it was fairly slow and highlights were Obi-Wan's arc and the final battle.

9. TLJ, again with the fans ruining most things, biggest issue was felt too much like a Marvel movie with comical villains instead of epic Grievous/Dooku/Tarkin/Veers supporting villains we get the laughable first order clown car.

*note not counting the Clone Wars animated or any of the other direct to DVD or animated movies like Ewoks/droids etc. But they would probably be near the bottom. And the Clone Wars/Rebels shows would be at the top for me as that's what I enjoy and watch the most these days*

Ok, so my list here:

1. Return of the Jedi - The Best Space Battle in Star Wars bar none. I also like the coming of age Story that Luke finishes here, and how in the end he stands up to Vader and the Emperor

2. Rogue One - I like Cassian Andor as a Character, and that all 3 main heroes are not Jedi, so they have to really struggle and sacrifice to get things done. Easily second best Space battle in SW Too. Also the nicest Romance in a SW movie since Han and Leia. (Aww God how i hate Course Sand and Princess Potato getting it on...)

3. Revenge of the Sith - Yes i know i posted the meme thing but i really like the action packed movie this is. Would be number 1 but i still Don’t reall buy why Anakin fell to the Dark Side eventually, and how he did it, and why Padme died from a broken heart or some BS...

4. Empire Strikes back - I know it’s the peoples champion, but no space battles (sorry Hoth does not count) I also do not like cliffhanger endings. Just not my thing. Otherwiss its a very good movie of course.

5. The Force Awakens - i very much like Poe, Han Rey and Finn in this movie. Still not sure about whiny Kylo. Otherwise decent action that puts it above AnH for me with an identical story pretty much.

6. A New Hope - The first of the bunch, but from todays perspective they were still getting rid of the technical kinks and Lucas was still in a learning process so that the parts cluck together much better in Esb and RotJ.

7. Attack of the Clones - ugh well? Just not my cup of tea. I dislike How Anakin and Padme were in some sort forced together by really bad screenplay and dialogues. The action was solid, but it felt like they had to put too much story into the already long movie. I also dislike the beheading scene of Jango. It was unnessecarily brutal for this kind of movie that did not need to make things so obvious.

8. The Phantom Menace - Just a weak movie, needed to get the story going. Also 3D animation still came to its limits sometimes. For example in the land battle between Gungans and Droids which seems a bit sterile. Some people criticize that Maul dies here, but i found him the least interesting bad guy in all the movies, so i am glad he was gone.

9. The last Jedi - I have to put it last because there was no real battle in it, and the long time chase was a bit too long for me. I have no problems with the End of the movie or with the hyperspace scene, but with Luke’s stubborn unwillingness to help Rey. Also she has to be a really good autodidact as he taught her next to nothing. The main critique and why i put it even after a piece of junk like Phantom menace is however that there are so many unanswered questions that we will most likely never see answered. Who was Snoke? Who are Rey’s parents (well it’s answered but i just don’t want to believe what they serve us) , and so on! Too much to jst overpook these flaws for me...

The answer to why she died: Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy, it's legit an emotionally induced myocardial infarction or heart attack in lamens terms. Mind you it could have also been internal hemorrhage as that actually causes lots of deaths especially multiparty deliveries (twins and up). Or even still some kind of respiratory or vasculature damage from the force choke.

The better question for all of us is WHY NOT ONE OF THOSE MEDICAL DROIDS DID ANYTHING! (Unless it was a labor and delivery ward specifically and the millions of space dollars in technology was just a giant ultrasound and fetal cardiac monitor. And didn't Obi-Wan specialize in force heal too?

Anyways now I'm way overthinking this. *Wakandan group chant* "Prequels forever!"

My personal theory was that Anakin was pumping Dark Side energy into her when he tried to Force Choke her. He was new at it, and not in control of his anger or powers. The Dark Side, as we have seen, has a harmful effect on the body, and probably acted as a radiation or poison. Medical droids, lacking an understanding of the Force wouldn't have recognized the problem, nor would there likely have been anything that they could do. Yoda and Obi-Wan may have, but even they were likely in shock considering the events of the last few days.

Rogue one was a bloated snooze fest, a decent third act does not make up for needless world hopping.

The acting was bland the most likeable character was the cgi droid.

Then we have the needless stacking of motivation, she already had reason to hate the empire set up at the start but we had to waste time on her losing her father and surrogate father.

The rebels were despicable people completely contradictory to how they are shown in the OT, and because of that I felt no sympathy as they died.

It was better than the prequels but that's such a low bar it's not really saying much.

Well the rebel terrorists are despicable people. They use violence and subterfuge in a bid to gain political power.

That aside I agree with you that Rogue One gets way more love than it deserves. The movie was a bloated mess. There was a decent story in there somewhere, but it was buried under way too many unnecessary scenes. The ending was stupid too.

He had such a knowledge of the dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying.

I am in the boat of Palpy killed Padme to save Anakin. Life force transfer fits the darkside very much. And lying to Anakin about who killed Padme as well.

Me too. It just fits the dark side so well and fits Palms MO of killing four birds with one stone.

Saves the life off his new apprentice

Drives that apprentice deeper into the dark side

removes the only (it was believed) person who anakin might have cared about enough to break free of the dark side

eliminated a political rival

and also explains how the emperor knew she was dead. It would have been very bad for him if he had told anakin she was dead and then she showed up again in the senate.

Possible, but I've always felt that Palps was really talking out of his **** here. His master had this power, but Palps didn't, which is why he looked into alternative ways of extending his own life.

All well and good, this would be an excellent explanation, but then, why not show this or at least clearly hint at it.

Probably because Palpy would have known about the unborn children then and killed them as well. Thus we would not have had any further movies...

And than there is still the option that Padme did not die at all

There is the real mother reference in ROTJ, and it would remove some problems with the plot if everything was just done to hide that she is still alive

But I also must say that I have seen the Prequels a long time ago (and only once) and re-watched them as Fan-Edits

With First Order and Resistance now separated out as different factions, you can imagine CIS and Republic factions as separate.

Drawing from Clone Wars there is definitely no shortage of ships for both sides, and I have to agree - whatever you think of some of the acting, the space battles were top notch ("Let's try spinning" was a bit irksome, but the actual battle going on outside still looked good).

@SEApocalypse - everything I can think of that's been on screen.
