ok im new to the forums i hav a question about tech it sms the stronger more usefull tech is old stuff and the ok tech is whats known how to make now
also ive bn told but cant seem to find it anywhere that a machine that can act on its own like A.I. would be considerd heresy and soguht after to be destroyed

You read that right. The Silica Animus (aka AI) is among the things the Adeptus Mechanicus dreads and hates most. Anything (*) more complicated than an expert system must use biological matter for its thinking and even then can't ape a human being too closely.
The closest a PC can come to an artificial lifeform would probably be a techpriest, possibly with the Mechanical Ressurection (see Inquisitor's Handbook, think Darth Vader)
(*) Well, not anything, but the exceptions are very few and far between.

There's also the Proteus Protocol or true AI (which exists in certain forge worlds underground, as can be seen with a certain monster from either CA or DotDG, and possibly with the Logicians) and the False Men. I was referring to solutions suitable for playing as characters.
Do bear in mind if you play such a thing, that you will be a vile abomination unto mankind. Most sensible people will flee from or attack you when they know what you are. Of course, beyond the borders of the imperium, there's plenty of people that AREN'T at all sensible.
