...any chance of a new paint job? It's a beautiful sculpt with a a lot of detail that is totally wasted because it's paint job makes it a black brick. Even the red windows are so dim that they add nothing.

How about we make it more like your own artwork for the ship and add in some First Order grey and a brighter red window?

Well, if it is getting a new sculpt the obviously they are going to have to redo how it’s painted.

Whether the new paint job is any better....

IDK that ywing looks pretty sweet. Hopefully they have cranked all aspects to 11.

While that's true the fact that X-Wing is a pre-painted game is one of the reasons I like it. Sure it's not the end of the world if they don't give it a new paint job, but it would sure be nice if they did. It would also have the side benefit of making it match the other First Order fighters better while it would still stand out because the paint job is reversed.

I'm honestly surprised Lucasfilm put that original all black paint job in the movie, it's obviously horrible for toys and models.

I mean, I think that comes more down to LFL since they have to approve everything. I mean it isn't exactly FFG's fault that the First Order and Kylo Ren seem to shop exclusively at Hot Topic.

Yeah that's fair. But it doesn't hurt to ask. And maybe now that the movie has come and gone there is more wiggle room? Or since the original already exists out there in the wild that they might just consider it an alternate paint job like having both grey and blue tie fighters or a red tie defender?

Have to agree the Silencer paint job is really bad so I would welcome a new paint scheme.

Is size changing? Is getting a new sculpt? Or do u meant the base? Cause the base I read the base will stay small.

Regarding the paint job I totally agree, maybe with white solar panels in line with the other FO TIEs.

If it gets a new sculpt, they will likely keep it looking as it did in the movie, so it can be recognizable.

They're taking the old sculpt and shrinking it down a bit to be at the proper scale. When they sculpted it originally they didn't have the full details of the design from Lucasfilm.

Expect a new missile slot and some crazy built-in chain actions.

From the beginning, I felt like this ship was specifically wrong but balanced to fit into the 1.0 game while they knew the whole time that they would re-release it for 2.0.

Looking forward to the new stat line some medium base ACE flying!
