Because I wanted a blue x-wing.
And an Inferno squadron TIE.
And I still want a green a-wing.
That is all.

Edited by Darth MeanieI am ok with a mix of old and new paint jobs.
Green Awing sounds awesome. Not sure about the blue X-Wing, though I suppose the argument that folks will confuse it for the t70 is irrelevant in 2.0 when they are in separate factions.
But yes - ffg give us more paint variants!
Citadel makes these really awesome paints. Just sayin.
(There’s others that don’t cost an arm and a leg to but forget what there called).
I still hope they'll do a Scariff pack. Although with 2.0 it won't need to be an X-Wing/Y-Wing fix anymore. It would just be for the alt paint models and new pilots (Merrick). So I'm not sure if there's enough reason to do the pack anymore, which makes me sad.
But I definitely would have liked to buy a few sets to make a blue squadron X-Wing group.

I used Vallejo to paint up my Legion minis, back when I thought X-Wing was one or two small purchases every 6 months.

Well it was, and it still is, just not right now if you have to update.

They did say something about an “aggressive release schedule” so we will see. That, and at minimum I require 5x conversion kits - one for each faction (I realize FO and Resistance come later)

Only if you really want to now. There making it so the generic upgrades can be acquired with in faction purchases.

And who's gonna paint 'em, kid? You??
The hard, sad truth is that I would buy 2.0 repaints without changing editions.
If FFG really wanted to sucker punch me, this would be the way to do it.

Actually yeah, I do own both a green squadron A-wing and blue squadron T-65.

Sorry for not being clear, yes I do want to because I have almost all the ships from 1.0 and I’d like to, at minimum, be able to fly all of the ones I possess in 2.0.
Additional purchases will incrementally happen I am sure.

No way. To each their own but I got into this game because the minis were pre-painted. After wasting a lot of my twenties on "attempting" to paint 40K models the pre-painted nature was the big draw for me. I wanted a game, not another hobby I can fail at.
If you enjoy painting, more power to you. But it is no longer for me.
FFG should only do alt paint schemes if they want us to buy all the ships again and like making money. Otherwise they should just be chumps that passed on an opportunity.

Excellent! What's your shipping address?
Ok, let's make this thread a thing.
I also want an orange bladewing, a Stellar Envoy YT1300, and a yellow striped Defender prototype.
