How many barricades are you using?

By Big Easy, in Star Wars: Legion

For 800pt 6'x3' games, how many are you using? All 8 in the coreset? 16 from both? Fewer?

I tend to think that each player should bring four. There needs to be a mix of cover, heavy cover, and blocking line of sight terrain or units simply die too fast.

Zero

We use hills walls buildings wrecks etc

8 for me, but depending on terrain I would do more or less. I suspect we might get 8 in standard tourny games but who knows!

The RRG example has 16, but also no other terrain depicted. I have been using 8 on a board with a good amount of custom terrain and it's been working pretty well, especially with the cover rules (line on the ground to each mini from attacking leader that crosses the barricade=that mini having heavy cover).

I treat them like other scatter terrain, which means that I use them or don't on the table depending on how we feel on the set up of the board.

Last night we made a makeshift barricade with ladders and barricades (down by the AT-ST)

Usually though I do stuff like this (check the upper right hand part of the picture, I use three of them to make a sort of hide spot often as well).

We use the 8 that came in the core and 8 more papercraft sandbags I made.

I got 2 core sets, I always use 16 barricades. But usually we use 2 barricades as one piece of terrain. And we have some buildings, hills and/or forrests ...

6 of the Core barricades as heavy cover.

8 arrays if boxes and crates as Light cover
