So we know points are going to be a mystery until app is released. Damage Deck and medium base ships also won't apply. But there's got to be some semblance of play to practice. Probably just with generic x-wings and ties.

How to do it?

1) Draw barrel roll line on 1 template

2) Evade token change result in effect

3) Double point cost of generics

4) No EPTs for now

5) No upgrades

6) Apply initiative rules appropriately

7) Loss of action if unable to resolve

8 ) Chain actions available

If you want to practice for xwing 2.0, I'd suggest the same thing as for any regular practice: Do maneuvers. The templates aren't changing. We have the rules for Barrel rolls, do those too. Get used to what a medium base can do with all the current maneuvers. Anything else is likely what icelom said and developing bad habits.
