"Armada is not dead, it has just been Rieekaned" - @rasproteus
Is it reeikan vs reeikan?
"The winner today is FFG who doesn't have to pay for the flight for the local winner" - @JJs Juggernaut
Wow. Close is an understatement. Thank you for the updates. Can’t wait to watch the game.
Is the results right?
Nathan lost Yavaris (65pts) 3x yt1300 (39) ten numb (19) gold squadrons (12) and the scrugg (16)?

Wow. That is absurd. We just can't rid ourselves of rieekan. How do you kill that which has no life?
@BiggsIRL This is the first time I've ever run out of reactions. I appreciate you doing the play by play.
I have no reactions either. What a game.

If only we could still claim him, alas, he technically represents Chicago now.

This is the card everyone runs to when the universe is scary and full of "Delete that ship" combinations that a player is powerless to stop.
Like Demolisher breaking the fire-then-move rule, the true power of this card is allowing one ship to suspend the natural order of the game. Few cards do this.
Edited by NorsehoundThe very concept of the Rieekan was broken from the beginning. At least with Demolisher it doesn't get to move-then-shoot after it has been destroyed !!! The problem is Rieekan combined with a really powerful/critical activation.
Sorry, I can’t see this from the thread. Who actually won???
Nathan Coda
Allthough this world's was for me not the pinnacle of armada in the gaming year, but of disappointment (especially due to the Hyperfool Report), there is one thing that keeps my mouth open in astonishment and disbelieve: Hera is world champion! ?

By virtue of being second player in a tied match.

Set as General Paper question. "This is the Worlds Winning List : .,.... Corran Horn and Hera. Discuss why."

Yeah it looked really cagey in the early stages. Wasn’t worth staying up until 2am UK time to see the result!
Thanks again to all for the commentary and analysis over the 3 days. Helps us feel like we were there! In particular @BiggsIRL @Tokra @Captain Weather
