Just wondering if they confirmed anywhere this isn't a splash release or some kinda limited time offer. I know plenty of people in the game who might not be able to drop 200 on getting all of their ships and the base game upgrades at once. Most of them certainly could do it over time, but only if the conversion kits are still being sold maybe 6 months to a year after release. This isn't even considering people getting back into the game after 2nd edition becomes a bit more widespread down the road. Anyone seen any sort of confirmation they plan to keep them around a while?

Well, if Descent is any indicator, the kits will be around awhile. Descent converted to 2E in 2015 and the conversion kit is still available. I expect the kits to remain in production at least until all 1E ships have been released in 2E packs and probably even awhile after that. Not positive of course but I think it is likely.

A good long while, I would assume. Long enough (years) that it shouldn't be a concern for anyone.
