Hmm. Making the top 40 and missing the cut by one point in the the 2016 Yavin open with FIVE. CARTEL. MARAUDERS? Team Epic craziness at last year's Euros? The long awaited announcement of the ALMIGHTY GUNBOAT?

All great moments, but nah.

Drinking coffee and battling with @Arma Quattro and friends a couple of weeks ago at the Italian System Open, now that was fun!

Aww now you got me all emotional. *sniff* it has been a great time! :)

Happy Star Wars Friday!!

my regional run where I almost won dice.

Actually, I'm going to day 1, my second game. Krassis Trelix (HLC, Gunner), Omega Leader, and Zeta Leader vs Gunner/Vader RAC/Decoy Echo. Echo messes up a K-Turn, and gets beaned hard by OL. Krassis dies in a big ball of fire. RAC is a little wounded, and my opponent says "do you just want to call it? You won't be able to get through my hull?" I'm kinda doubtful of that, and we play on. Omega Leader against one locked target is pretty solid. It ends with him triggering a Mutually Assured Destruction Vader, killing us both. My first and only tied game.

Flying interceptors for weeks on end, Carnor, Soontir, Lambda. Can't wait to do it again this time around!

Happy Friday and Happy Star Wars day !

I have 3 great memories about the 1.0 :

- When my friend attack my Dark Curse at range 3 behind a obstacle with the primary attack of his generic hawk. He roll and got 1 hit and I roll 5 green dice, 2 focus and 3 blank, saddly I have no focus token... :P

- My first tournament game : Back in 2014 I have Vader, Soontir, Night Beast and Mauler Mithel. I finish 5th of 12 players.

- My first store championship game (love this format) : With Lambda, Turr phenirr and Soontir I finish 3rd of 16 players. But all my games was fantastic and with a really good ambiance !

Every time I prepared a list to counter the big bad meta list at the time and then never drawing said list in the swiss rounds.

My grandpa and I played wargames and military related tabletop games since I was 7. Or younger.

Our last minis game was 2 X Wings vs 4 Tie Fighters. He was not SW fan but he laughted when one of my Ties hit a rock and exploded.

I miss you, grandpa.

By the way @FTS Gecko now you know the difference between Caffè and coffee. ?

2018 Birmingham system open. My first proper tournament, and the bigest to date.

A) I showed up for a store champs, zero wins in the last three months. Didn't even want to go because I was so down on the game. Had 2 lists I thought up the night before and a net list. Decided on my Jess Pava, Green Squad, Green squad, Jan Ors list. Faced paratani first game, tabled him. The look on his face when I pumped 7 dice fully modded into Fenn was amazing. Tabled round 2 against imperial aces. Round 3 went to time and lost by 3 points. Lost an A-Wing on the last round, but beat one of the best players in the city running Dengar Bossk. Ended up with a 2nd place finish and the best MOV of the day. Took that list to a staggering 75-80%ish winning ratio until the rise of Nym.

B) Went to my first regionals, went 3/3 and ended up right on my goal of 25th. Had a fantastic time. Then did the hanger bay and flew my "B" list...which dominated, and still does very well today. Will be flying it until 1.0 has disappeared locally. WEDGE NORRA JAN!!! I LOVE THEE!!!!!

C) Being recognized as the one who always brings a gimicky/janky list that makes people scratch their heads, and then either smacks them down hard or gets tabled. Being known as the A-Wing guy and the Jan Ors guy.

D) Just really enjoying the games with our community which becomes stronger each day.

Probably my favorite moment over the years was when my nephew came in 3rd at the Imdaar Alpha tournament and got to pick a ship right before me (in 4th). His smile could not be repeated!

Round 6 of the Campaign Against Cancer this year when I moved through a debris cloud, rolled a crit, pulled a Major Hull Breach, rolled a hit, pulled a second Major Hull Breach, rolled another hit, and then blew up with a Damaged Engine. The odds of that happening are so low, that all I did when it happened was laugh.

Going undefeated at CAC 2018 with a list that I have been tinkering with for over a year.

I had done fairly poorly with it at a regionals just a few weeks prior. I took a good hard look at things and decided that the list didn't fail; I did. I then reworked my tactics and went to my next competition with a fresh perspective. That list isn't 2.0 compatible, but I'll be taking what I learned from that experience with me.

That's easy.

The first time I saw a Millennium Falcon Star Wars: X-Wing model

Glittercrack Brobots

running over 4 Zs and a chewbacca with a 4 straight + RAC

Dace Bonearm performing a range 3 primary weapon attack onto a cloaked "Whisper" with one hull left. One unmoded attack die, 5 unmoded defense dice. Roll, Natural Crit! Defense roll, all blanks and focus results! dead whisper!

My first regional, rebel aces was the new hot thing. I had Soontir, Whisper, and a PS4 Advanced with the new Proton Rockets against Echo, Whisper, and a TIE Fighter of some sort. Soontir snipes echo early with a lucky, unanswered hit hit crit, then gets chased down by his whisper. The advanced trades for the tie, and suddenly its whisper v whisper.

We're both jockeying for shots, neither wanting to give the slightest advantage, when I decide to go for the K-turn. I end up R1 behind him, throw 5 dice with a FCS target lock, and down the other whisper goes. That was still the most intense game of my life, and had the modern cut rules been in effect I would have been in the elimination rounds.

Playing, and winning against, Paul Heaver at GenCon 2016. It was my first and so far only event at this level, and I had a minor freak out when I saw the pairings. It took me a while to calm down, I was mostly nervous because I didn't want to play like a dummy in probably the only chance I was ever going to get to play him. We were basically flying mirror matched lists of Corran, Wes and Biggs. Really the game ended up coming down to him letting me have initiative.

I thought I was toast, my Biggs was dead(I was apparently still nervous and had forgotten to use integrated on him, whoops), and my Wes was low. Our Corrans ended up right in each other's faces, so it looked like this was going to decide the game; we'd trade each other's Corrans, leaving my crippled Wes against the rest of his list... But then we get to the end phase, and I get to double tap first because he opted to give me initiative... Blinded Pilot comes up on the crit he had to draw as his Corran dies. I didn't even process it at first as he basically told me gg right there. The rest of the game was largely jousting back and forth against his Wes while regening until time, my attack dice went a bit cold(seriously, this part of the game went for about 30 minutes and I just couldn't chip an X-wing to death), and all my double taps were unmodded thanks to Wes' ability. There was one hairy moment where I got a bit greedy and misjudged a k-turn, ending up on an asteroid by millimeters, but otherwise managed to not ****** defeat from the jaws of victory.

So, maybe not the most skillful game I've ever played, in fact probably one of my luckiest, and I didn't make day 2 due to MoV, but I can still say I beat the world champ, which is neat. I don't know if he's still on these forums, but thanks again for the game Paul if you're out there.

Call me an optimist, but I think my best 1.0 moment is yet to come. I don't plan to jump on the 2.0 train. My collection is almost all that I want, and I don't play competitively; just casual with a handful of locals, and I'm the supplier of all the ships, so its not like there'll be compatibility issues. I just want to add a couple of 1.0 expansions, and I'll be good.

To all of you looking forward to 2.0, I hope you have a great ride with the new version. It looks like it has some cool possibilities. I have nothing against 2.0; I just have other hobbies I'm pursuing with more enthusiasm, lately, so buying a bunch of stuff just to make things I can already play with playable in a slightly different way seems impractical in my situation.

Still 4 months to go yet - I'm going to assume my best 1.0 moment hasn't happened yet! :)

Too many great moments to really determine the best. Love the game, great community. My proudest accomplishment overall maybe would be winning a tournament with each faction (well, two with Imperials and one each with Rebels and Scum).
