Man o man. FFG has really got me thinking. With the announcement I am realizing that it would be wise to only play one or two factions primarily. I was going through my collection and found that a good majority of my ships are Imperial so that will definitely be one faction I go for. However, the second faction is up for debate. I have far more Scum than I do Rebel ships, but I found that I am not into flying big ships. I really like ships that pack a punch but are still super maneuverable or tanky. With that in mind, if you guys were to recommend a second faction for me based on that, what you say and why? (Also, don't say First Order 
) Also, what factions are you all going to be maining?

You don't have to decide right now. When 2.0 hits the shelves, check out what pilots and abilities will be in both factions, watch the players feedback, maybe play some games with proxies. Than you will have enough information to make your decision.
I am a one-faction player from the beginning (Scum), I don't have this problem.
I'd love to be able to buy all the conversion kits and expansions and play whatever I want, but that's way beyond my financial capabilities, so I'll stick with the 1.0 faction I liked best. That is Imperials/First Order. I'll go ahead and get Imperial when it drops so I can dive right in to 2.0, but First Order is what I'm really psyched for. SFs and Silencers are my favorite ships and I can't wait to see what they do with the Upsilon.
I'm glad they are going to make the FO conversion kit cheaper, because that way I can get a bit of faction variety and still have a bit of cash for things like food and the mortgage.
Maybe at some point down the line, if a scum, rebel, or resistance ship comes along that I absolutely have to fly I may buy into those factions but not at the start. However, if prequel era factions ever come along I may have to seriously start considering how badly I need food.
