Question about Objective Circles on maps

By Enoch Constantine, in Tannhauser

Greetings,

I just bought the game and I'm trying to figure out the map. The rules say that you pick 4 objective icons for each side. There are only 6 objective circles on both maps. Is that because you can have more than one objective on the circle? like one circle that the Union and Reich have objectives?

thanks

NO, you choos which objective to use among the 4 and put the other back into the box.

um that's not my question....

see the union picks 4 objectives and the reich pick 4 objectives

BUT

there are only SIX objective circles, so are there objective circles that have more than one objective on it?

No, no every circle can have only 1 objective upon it. Once one of the sides has placed it's own objectie upon the circle it can't be used by the other. After filling all the circles the objective in excess are returned to the box.

Let's say there is 6 Objective Circles, 2 Main Objectives and 4 Secondary Objectives.

Before rolling for Setup you will prepare two piles of main objectives tokens, one for each of it, and the four remaining secondary objectives token.

Then each player roll a 10-sided dice.

The winner (let's call him player1) has the first pick for the Main Objective selection. He randomly draws one token from the corresponding pile and put it on the circle. This circle's objective can now only be resolved by this player team. All remaining main objective tokens for player1 are discarded.

the loser (player2) randomly draws one token from the pile corresponding to the remaining main objective and put it on the Circle. All remaining main objective tokens for player2 are discarded.

Now it's player1 turn again and he one of the secondary objective circles and put the corresponding token on it. After that player2 one of the three remaining secondary objectives and put his own token on it.

Repeat the process one last time and all objectives are filled with a token corresponding to one or another faction.
