Things right in front of us in the 2.0 announcement that we've missed

How about "Setup: start in reserve" on Boba Fett crew?

Some actions allows you to take another explicit action. Ex. The fang fighter has boost-focus(red). It means it is allowed to boost and then if it wants to, take a focus and get a stress. Its like a soft bulit in PTL. This is the coolest new bit of design to me so far, I really dig this idea.

So if I focused on a [ship] with a linked barrel roll, I could use the focus to barrel roll with stress?

You got it.

One thing I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone discuss yet is that Armada defense tokens are exhausted AND discarded. So it's possible we could see that mechanic later on. Some like R2-D6. Discard a shield token to ready a different shield token. It could be useful on an E wing that has 3 shields, basically giving it 2 regen shields without the downside of the generic R2.

If it’s linked action is focus -> red barrel roll, yes

Jam tokens are orange and round now, that means they no longer hang around past the end of a turn, right?

but you don't have to 'use' the focus, right? you just get two actions with stress like PTL. Or did I miss something?

You don’t spend the focus

Yep, taking the focus grants you acces to ex. A barrel roll, if that's what's is on the ship card. Like ptl, doing one action allows you another, but with this kind of design you don't have as free a chooise.

Correct. In this case, if you take the Focus action, you can then take a BR action, and gain stress from doing it.

Maybe the Imperial calculate token will be for either a droid crew to generate or possibly a K2 series (not K2SO) pilot of an Imperial ship? Just a thought.

I saw one person mention it in a thread somewhere.

Yes, it would be interesting to see that mechanic added somehow. Based on the sample games we have seen, though, it doesn't exist out the gate.

Can anyone make out what upgrade slot the Marauder title grants? picture here

Also, really, no one interested in the concept of a reserve? :P See Boba Fett here.

My local gaming group has discussed this and we believe it’s a gunner slot. Which would make sense as the veteran tail gunner upgrade requires that slot.

I thought it was either that or a systems slot, yeah. Maybe the Firespray has a crew like it does now, and can also gain a gunner? And then taking Marauder is like doubling down on your rear arc, like Kath used to do. (I wonder what her new ability is? Or if they've kept it as-is? Kath with Marauder seems very powerful, if so.)

Oh I get it! ESB. Fett looks like debris then comes to life.

Reserve I would guess means he gets placed last, out of order of the usual placement order. He has to be placed touching a debris but not too close to enemy ships.

Also: that is a crew card

I feel it's a cannon upgrade. It used to be on the Firespray, but who knows now?

Reserve probably has something to do with that 3 pointed token that has stars stretched out on it liek when coming in/out of hyperspace. Anyone know what I'm talking about? It has 3 prongs that look like you can slot up to 3 different bases into. One slot has a focus icon, one is blank and the 3rd has another icon (barrel roll?).

Follow-up: that is Kath's ship on the card, right? I can't find another source for its canon name.

Candidates for the Rebel ship with a reverse maneuver:

1) Nobody. It's interesting to me that the ship has both a reverse and a blue straight maneuver, essentially letting it shift back and forth in place forever. This could just be a fake or WIP that won't make it into the final product.

2) HWK-290. It needs a rework, and that would help it a bit. This dial is unquestionably better, giving it both access to 3-turns and a K-turn.

3) The Sheathipede. The dial as currently displayed matches the Sheathe's exactly, aside from the reverse.

Yeah. He's basically the Resistance Han pilot ability, but as a crew card.

Hey, look - something has a 1-backwards maneuver

I'm guessing the HWK as well.

It's dial needed help--lots of it! And this maneuver would really distinguish it.

That's used for a respawn mechanic when you're just playing with the starter set. They show it in one of the TC videos.

Maybe he comes out of Hyperspace as a Reserve unit?
