From WWII to Star Wars

Some neat info in these articles. I did not know that the millennium falcon's engine noises came from P-51 piston engines.

I have comment previously on how most of the combat footage in the original trilogy was ported over from WWII aerial combat footage. ( https://www.starwars.com/news/from-world-war-to-star-wars-dogfights) What I didn't catch were the references to Karelian Isthmus or to the German word 'kessel' or 'cauldron' or 'pocket'.

The Ghost is also another B17:

Nothing new for me in the these segments:

The posters here are cool and I have posted elsewhere. Sound like our MSM today?

Wanna really blow your mind? Look up the movies Dambusters and 617 Squadron. There are even comparisons on YouTube.

The naboo fighter pilots uniforms and helmets kind of had a WW2 feel. Plus the whole being a royal airforce to defend the queen is very WWII-ish.

Dambusters in particular. Watch the movie. As well as hidden fortress. Very little in storytelling doesn't come from something in real life, or another story.

Also add 633 Squadron to your list
