Until he doesn't have any force tokens to spend on defense and is sad.

I do feel the need to point out though that those names were made up by the Decipher CCG to identify "Tie pilot who gets blown up by Wedge" and "TIE pilot who gets blown up by Han" (this isn't meant as a dig... that's really all they're known for according to wookieepedia). Other than passing mentions, they were not developed as characters in Legends. Iden and Valen are both characters with personalities and stories attached to them.

Again, I totally understand your love for the old and familiar names and I absolutely do not want to take that away from you. But I do appreciate that FFG is trying to incorporate characters from newer stories that are being told.

Exactly this. I don't see any systematic removal of all "Legends" material. Simply an attempt to incorporate characters from new, ongoing stories.

I understand why they may be doing it in many cases, however, in the case of backstabber and dark curse, they aren't being replaced as such. Iden Versio wasn't in black squadron or at the first death star (it was that battle that led to her units creation.) Baron Rudor was stuck on lothal after it was liberated, he was a prisoner of war during the battle of Yavin.

So they didn't replace the characters as characters in lore, they just removed them from X-Wing miniatures the game, that's what upsets me. Example, look at Juno Eclipse, they outright replaced her, her ability is on a new pilot altogether and she's nowhere to be seen.

Empire doesn't have enough canon pilots for the vast majority of ships.

Horton is from RotJ, Jake Farrel is kinda-sorta from RotJ as well.

Which makes the potential removal of backstabber and dark curse all the more questionable.

Reinforce has already been spoiled, it doesn't do remotely what it did in 1e.

It's 'when you take damage, take 1 less damage to a minimum of 1.

Not to mention that reinforce works fine with 0 AGI, otherwise it would be pointless on Epics...

No, reinforce only reduces damage to a minimum of one.

I clarified the same in a later comment in the thread.

Alright, I've updated my shareable google doc with all of the rebel content spoiled today. I will input the imps and scum later when I find more time. Note that we have now identified 65 of the 84 rebel pilot cards. As to the remaining 19 that we don't know about, it's logical to assume:

+2 unique Auzitucks
+2 unique ARC-170
+1 unique B Wing
+1 unique E Wing
+2 unique VCX-100
+2 unique HWK-290 (especially now that Jan is confirmed to not be replaced by Jyn)
+1 unique K Wing
+3 unique Phantom I
+1 unique Phantom II
+1 unique Sabine's TIE
+1 unique U Wing
+2 unique YT-2400
+2 unique Z-95

That totals 21 pilots, so two of those is unlikely to exist... but which ones? This does basically confirm though that with the exception of the A-Wing, Y-Wing, and X-Wing, we will only be getting a single generic of each ship.

We know that Old Teroch is in, too. I think he was on the unboxing video, and he still has the same pilot ability.
