The conversion kits contain everything you need to run over 30 ships but it's going to be rare that people's collections line up with exactly half the number of every ship that can fit into a list rounded up.

It probably means some ships with models but no gameplay components and it almost certainly means a lot of gameplay components with no models.

Which ships do you think make the best stand-ins for other ships? For me the TIE/v1 is pretty much just an upgraded TIE fighter anyway so that can get a TIE/ln model. The TIE aggressor is pretty much just a TIE/x1 with its wings clipped so that can be a TIE/x1 variant. Small base rebel shuttles? Let's just say there are a lot of different HWK models on the market now. Shadowcaster and Jumpmaster? Scum YTs.

When I run HotAC at my local store, lots of things end up standing in for TIE Fighters. Usually TIE/fos, or TIE/sfs because they're so similar. Once I forgot to bring a TIE Advanced, so I used a TIE Aggressor.

There will be many people in the situation you describe. I foresee lots of Conversion Kit component trading. So excited for 2nd Edition, but there's so much news and info I cannot digest it all!

Don't worry about components without ships, salt is a powerful force. Once 2.ED hits, you should be able to get models for all the old ships on eBay laughably low prices.

I plan on reaching out to the creator, and looking for a Patreon page, or something. I would really love a 2nd edition HotAC
