Well we don't know Vader crew yet, but they did change Oicuun. He can now attack at range 0.

i mean, that's good for being a bumper but **** does that suck for those of us not terribly enamored of green dice
it actually is a very good ability, though, (i'm assuming most ships cannot shoot back at range 0) provided the dial is right as the deci doesn't seem to have any repositioning capabilities

Let’s hope it’s a sweet chassis. The names pilots in 1.0 are super fun but terribly wholesome and a lack of an EPT on my favorite made them “almost” good enough; but fine for non-meta pint games. Let’s hope they are suped up (dial and abilities) vs. competitors and cheap as they still pop like TIE/LNs when shot with 3 hull 0 shields.

This is very nice, as long as they’re cheap enough; they should be 2/3rds the cost of an equally PS-ed X-Wing at most as the Xs gained a hull and an improved dial. I’ll wait and see before I vote with my $$ ?

If that’s true, but the TIE/LNs and Interceptors didn’t gain hull, they better be harder to get in Arc.

Why would they be? They didn't receive any new mobility abilities.
They didn't get new actions like the X-Wing did, their dial is probably the same, maybe with added sloops.
Now, in addition, other ships got better at moving and positioning. (like the X-Wing)
The only way the Interceptor gets better, is by getting cheaper. Like a LOT cheaper.
In a world where they can dodge turrets and action bombs don't exist, Interceptors are great, even at similar costs to current. It's a ship that's going to rely on the player flying extremely well, and I think that's ok.
Let's not forget they basically get a second EPT and possibly a second mod in relation to how they operate in 1.0.
Yeah, I'm hoping you will be able to run 4 interceptors relatively well equipped. Maybe 2 or 3 named with a generics to fill the ranks. The Empires theme is suppose to be numerical superiority.
I would actually be surprised if you are going to be able to run 5 X-wings. I know its a 1.0 thing now, but in 2.0 everything that was scary in 1.0 is either gone or much worse. In 1.0 you need 5 X-wings to make them competitive (which I'm not convinced they would have been), in 2.0 I don't think that will be the case.
Edited by Jo JoSo with the seeming purge of EU characters, it's unlikely, but anyone know about any of the fun pilots from Imperial Aces that were DOA? Or Carnor? Lt. Urinal, aka Lt. Lorrir, the curved barrel-roll dude would be great in 2nd Edition, (finally!) and I still love Carnor. I hope he stays in the game with a similar ability.
Even if it's a nerf (and i don't want to nerf him), i think it feel right if wedge needs his target in his bulleye arc. A bit like He's even better if he shoot at the right time... a true marksmanship...
