What do you guys think about making two different forums - one for x wing 1st ed and one for new edition? This will make forums like "squad building" less confusing as they will only contain lists for one version, the same goes for rules questions, etc. Also now during those next 3 months people who still play 1st ed will have a place to talk about the game without the hype topics about 2nd ed overshadowing them. I know sooner or later we will all end up in "2ed" forum but for the time being splitting the forums seems like a best idea.

Honestly, I think 1st Edition will die out faster than 2nd edition can get here. FFG could have made any number of decisions that would split the player-base and alienate current customers but they have for the most part avoided those. I just don't see a sizable portion of 1st editioners lasting for very long at all.

Except for those of us who will play both, like me. I don't go to tourneys so for casual I'll just have to get a new box for all of the 2.0 stuff.

I don't plan to vomit up several hundred dollars just cuz FFG says its time. I might get around to 2.0 in a couple of years, but I also don't expect y'all to wait for me.

There will probably be plenty of folks playing 1st Edition in game rooms but, honestly, what is there going to be left to talk about? ****, we have already theorycrafted TIE Reapers before we even know exactly how jam works.
