Hello!
As some of you might know, I have made a conversion of the homeworld universe to Star wars: Armada.
Long story short.
A lot of 3D modelling, 3D printing, Card making and painting time invested.
First up, Kushans.
Most of the ships, some not yet printed.
First* ones I tried to paint. Used mostly crafts acrylics before realizing that they didn't really stick nice to the miniatures. Later upgraded to a basic set of GW and boy did it improve.
*Acutually second but not bothering to show you the first kadeshis and turanics...
Next one I did was the Taiidan. Used GW all the way, and it really made a difference.
Taiidani Lineup
Biggest bother with these were that the detail is virtually non-existent, which makes all the detail work freehand. And boy do I have Shaky hands.
Painting details on squads isn't as hard, the only Bother I have with them is the visible layer lines. Should have sanded them some more to get a nicer finish as the shading got into all those small lines.
The Kushans and Taiidan were pretty bare bone models without much details, but that changed when the Hiigarans got printed. These are much more detailed allowing the use of more precise painting.
Ship lineup
Corvettes
Fighters
Bombers
And that's as far as I've got. Still need to paint 4 factions, but probably gonna wait for my Ebay bought cheapo air brush set before I tackle the others.
Any feedback welcome. Tips and tricks, pointers or just general advice much appreciated!
