Yeah, well I was. . .

two ties in the core set
two sabine's tie dials (eight)
Perfect point. You can use a dial from any faction in 1E, hopefully that stays for 2E
Did I miss the Tie Silencer in the conversion kit?

Definitely an improvement.
I wouldn't mind:
-1 Inquisitor
+1 TIE Defender
...while we're at it. I mean, yeah, the numbers as-is make sense for the squad points, but given what named pilots used to exist, I imagine most people have more Defenders than TAPs.

Just came to post this! Would be perfection if they did that.
yeah I personally would far prefer x7s to v1s
but I know some folks used to run ps 2 v1s with prockets
I guess they'll be quite pleased if the v1 ends up not being just the Inquisitor

I have 5 taps this would be bad for me as it would push me past 2 kits.
Right now the spread of ships is pretty good for me.

It isn't in there because TIE Silencer is First Order which has been split off into its own faction.

Now who has 3 Defenders? It is not like that was a thing at some point!!!

I do and have flown that for years.
Pro tip for people wanting to buy 2nd conversion kit just for 2 more tie fighters: if it's only for them, get either their expac or another core set 2.0.

Anyway, the TIE/ln dial is the same in v2. So I'll keep using the old ones when I fly the good old swarm.
The new dials look really ugly. I can see they are better for new players to see all their choices at once, but I much prefer the old ones - more compact and more restrained design.
Can SOMEBODY please point me in the direction of a link that shows the (preferrably updated) contents of each upgrade kit, so I can share it with my group? I've been searching the product release stuff and it's not on any of it that I could find.
Thanks!

If you go here: https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/x-wing-second-edition/ there is an FAQ header. Click that and the lists are among that information.
Gonna hazard a guess that the limits on Defenders and TIE Advanced's are on purpose. FFG has to know that triple Defenders was a popular list so they may have re balanced how squads are made up.
Edited by impspydid many people buy more than 2 advance (1 from wave 1, 1 from raider)?
I mean...I did because Accuracy corrector Advance sounded like the absolute **** NO DICE, BABY!!!!
then i remembered green dice still existed ?

Exactly. If the dials are still the same there should be no problem in using the old ones. And depending in how much generics come with the Conversion Box this could be enough for a swarm.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Epic Conversion includes more copies of a few chosen ships as just the epics won't provide enough material for a whole Box.
(Let's hope they also include a campaign!)

I have three... if I’m really bothered I’ll be able to but the extra stuff from eBay to fly the third.
why the **** arent there 3 Defenders in there?

The bigger deal on the new dials is the same thing the dial upgrade kits brought to the table - no more wearing off the symbols of your most-used ships from over-play.
That's pretty nice for me. I'm still on the fence about 2nd edition, but if I do jump in - definitely selling off all my dial upgrades, as I won't need them anymore. (It wasn't the aesthetic I got them for so much as the reduced wear)
