Luke seems to act a lot like Poe now based on what we know so far. Which is pretty neat... but then what happens to Poe!

He becomes a... Poetato.

(Nah, I'm sure they'll give him some super duper ability, unless making Rey the star of the resistance faction is there goal.)

Juno got replaced with a nu canon guy, there is also Thane in a X-wing, I assume taking a spot of one of the old pilots, so it looks like they are replacing Legends where possible. On the other hand many ships they can't do much about because they are absent in new canon or don't have enough pilots.

Perhaps Poe will get an ability to make another attack if he destroys a foe in his Bullseye arc?

I asked about Gold Squadron. The bad art is no more.

This actually makes me somewhat sad.

How great would it be if the first 2nd edition alt art was to reinstall the derpy wave 1 1e gold squadron art?

That’s actually quite thematic

I'm still not totally convinced but the no TLT and Harpoons are nice changes. What is happening to my Ghost though? How will equipped turrets work? Or will it get a primary Turret like the arc now?

They are amazing changes when you look at how the whole game is getting changed as a whole.

I don't like that some of my favorites are probably going to be completely re-written. I've been finding homes for Wedge/Jan/Corran/A-Wings in some combo of every wave since I started playing. Jan specifically has become a calling card and a major part of my play style in general. but I'm embracing these changes because overall it will be awesome for the game.

Stop the presses, we're going back to 1st edition.

Of course, considering how many times I've had to explain to people at my store what Juno does, I'm probably out-voted here.

The TC video has a Y-Wing with a turret - they work the same as primary turrets. You've got a fire arc on the base, takes an action to rotate.

It seems like some ships have double arcs for the turret (it looks like the Falcon does), but you still do have to move the guns to aim them.

I actually liked Juno too, but if the gunboat goes with her, I will be overjoyed.

this has been an awesome thread with a ton of fantastic information. Thanks to those updating for those of us who can't watch right now (at work).

This thread clears up a lot of misinformation and really helps prove that FFG is looking at making the transition as easy as possible for the established player base. There is an amazing amount of BS going around the forums right now. this thread needs to be stickied.

Juno got replaced, but her ability stays, just assigned to a different guy.

took a look at Mynock Squadron facebook page

saw Predator, one of my favorite 1.0 cards but also a clear example of 1.0's love affair with action independent modifiers

it still exists, but it's only ever 1 re-roll and only in your bullseye arc (primary weapon only)

this bodes very well. You can't use predator easily, especially not even mobile/aux arcs (poor norra :() which means action independent modifiers are going to be harder to come by even if they still exist

also, they fixed gold squadron

The Hyperspace Report was quite clear that they're very against cards that just flat out give you modifiers. All modifier upgrades from here on out are to be positional or charge based.

You know, the more that gets spoiled the more excited I get, it just seems like they are really nailing a lot of design choices. Kind of the opposite feeling of the Scurg release.

They mentioned somewhere that those old effects are still in the game, just that they are very expensive. We'll probably see Predator 1.0 pop up somewhere, just expect to spend 10+ points on it.

so...like they always should have been?

bring on 2.0!

As long as the new upgrades are in the Resistance/FO conversion I'm still in. If I have to buy another t-70/FO/etc for upgrades..... nope.

Drink!

I'm so hyped to try the new soontir, It seems his ability is going to reward good piloting! ? I'm looking foreward to flying TIE Interceptors in general.

We will see in a few years if they stick to those principles.

It took some time to powercreep us to where we are now with X-wing 1.13.1

It's looking like a lot of attack bonuses are bullseye arc only. Crack Shot and Marksmanship are similar. I really like that.

it's gonna be fantastic

though I know I'm going to be salty when my super bullseye predator Wedge does no damage to some yokel TIE fighter that does 2/3 to me despite having no mods nor bullseye for crackshot ?

Did they show off Fel somewhere?

Wil Wheaton signed a pair of my dice this weekend. I'll never roll paint again.
