This has me a little concerned, can you elaborate? I thought all the existing upgrade cards would be in Conversion Kits.

Am I to understand that when the Falcon 2.0 releases it will have new upgrade cards that are not currently found in the Conversion Kit (even though the dial is and many of the pilot cards are), and those cards can be obtained through card packs?

no, not all existing cards. just the crap they are bringing over from V1. new V2 upgrades that are not part of the conversion kit will show up in new kits (of new and old ships). but there will be conversion kits for individual ships that will also have those cards.

its a great way to do it!

Jumpmaster has a new dial.

Harpoon Missiles gone.

Thanks, guys. I have mixed feeling about that but card packs are fun I guess and we'll just have to wait and see.

Is that a new type of ability for certain ships (like reinforce, coordinate, etc) or can any ship do this. When you say "charge" do you mean the ones for force sensitive pilots?

Does it apply to both range 1 bonus on attack and range 3 bonus for the defenders?

Does this mean the template for the barrel rolls will be different from the ones for regular 1 straight? Also how can we use old templates if we need the line for the talon/barre rolls? Are we allowed to paint a line in the middle of our old templates?

So we can use our old dices in 2.0?

So the moment they can be dropped remains the same but the ones requiring an action dont anymore?

We will have small/medium/large bases (plus huge eventually)? Outside of the ARC, do we know any other medium ship (Punisher, kwing, reaper?)

Are they new actions with specific icons or more like pilot abilities/upgrade cards?

I dont understand this one. They said that 2.0 lists would be 200 pts but with raised cost for everything. Is this going to be different for tournaments (100 pts but same raised cost) to lower the overall length of matches?

Tks!

Afterburner is a new upgrade card, used the Autothruster art, can be seen in the Scum article.

I believe so.

Casual yes, but you need to buy the new core set for the damage deck and stuff with the altered templates being there. The only difference to the templates is the line there.

Old dice are the same so you can use any you bought before or any acrylic dice rewards.

I think all mines and bombs have been.

ARC-170, Firespray, Reaper, Scrug, U-Wing, and that new large Scum fighter have been confirmed as medium base ships.

Some upgrades add new actions, turrets adding a Rotate action, and some adding stuff like Red Coordinate icons.

And just how tournaments are now with large ships where if the ship is sufficiently damaged you score points for half their cost.

Think about it like it's a brand new game. It has a slew of brand new upgrades. Some of those upgrades are identical or very similar to 1.0, some are kind of sort of similar but adapted for new rules, some are completely new, and a fair number of 1.0 upgrades will not be advanced into 2.0.

Double Post ?

Triple Post apparently ?

Kath Scarlet confirmed on the stream. Nice. Not giving up hope on Lt. Lorrir!

Yeah totally accidental. Crappy work computer with janky internet.

Calculate was confirmed today to be a droid based action. It is a weaker focus, only can change 1 focus result to a hit or evade, but there will likely be ways to get multiples of them through abilities and upgrades.

...

Total number of attack dice reduced for attack abilities. Some Tie Fighter abilities add one (2 to 3 dice), but crazy ones adding extra dice now add rerolls or the like.

I can't even come close to picking out my favorite bit from this list. It's gold Jerry, gold!

My only regret is that I only have 1 like to give per post my good sir. You're doing the Lord's work.

He means you will be awarded half points for half damage done to all ships during tournaments (like currently done with large base ships in 1.0), not that it will be less points for squad building.

Now it will be, Luke O.P. Force powers are broken AF ?

Its funny they removed TLT and Harpoons, knowing they are broken, but just left them in our version 1.0 to suffer while they develop 2.0.

Conspiracy theory:

FFG released Lowhrick, Rau etc. because they didn't have enough playtesting time on them

they spent it all testing 2.0

Not gonna lie - when 2.0 was announced, first thing I thought was 'well that's why the FAQ updates have been so slow and inconsistent and FFG has been answering rules questions like they just don't know or care anymore...'

HWK has a primary weapon value.

My lady Jan.... *RIP* May we have a moment of silence please.

She likely will still be in the game giving some reroll ability, they just don't want to have a 7 - 9 attack dice ship battle swinging at others especially considering that now the most it seems a ship can roll for defense with a Tie Phantom at range 3, cloaked with 5 defense dice. And she can only get 5 possible evades there with how evade tokens work now.

What am I missing with "HWK has a primary weapon value"?

if they left her ability I think her damage boost would still be okay. afterall it's still from the early waves, which this whole 2.0 seems to reducing the power creep and updating stuff to balance with the first 5 waves of stuff, instead of the other way around (boost power of old stuff to match new stuff)

HWK was original 1 damage. it's been increased is how I'm reading it.

Numbers for the ships in the conversion set are based around the number of ships you can run (I assume at best pilots) for standard points. Conversion sets likely taking into account the X-Wing and Tie Fighters that come with the Core Set since you have to buy that for the new damage deck. So feel free to start theory crafting max numbers for standard games.

This is perhaps the most interesting part to me. It was something i speculated but was not sure about. Now we just need to know if that means only 3 X-Wings / 6 Tie Fighters ever or if we can get higher. Very very interesting.

HWK primary weapon value thing was a joke, they just didn't want to tell us anything so they said it will have a primary weapon value, and that it will be a number.

From the announcement stream we know the HWK will have a primary turret aka mobile arc, 90 degree if I got it right, and no turret slot.

If I heard correctly Garven Dreis is also an ARC pilot with the same ability, which is very cool considering that whole Clone Wars veteran backstory of his.

I can't believe in X-wing 2.0 if the Vader + 4 TIE/ln squads shown on stream are NOT worth (at least) the same as 7 TIE/lns

current Vader is often worth 3 Academy pilots, and given how sweet force powers seem I can't imagine him being worth less than that in 2.0

basically, if Vader + 4 TIE/Lns = Squad, then 7+ TIE/Lns = squad

the anticipation of pilot ability changes, and new pilots, is driving me crazy. I want to know what has happened to all my loves.

The next few months are going to be nail biters, lol. They probably don't want an unofficial launching of the game on vassal before release.
