always room for new combos, especially with ordnance still working the way it used to and making alpha strikes potentially VERY strong in an age where action efficiency is harder to come buy

especially since two force power pilots, Luke and Vader, are high initiative. and we already know force tokens provide a LOT of action efficiency

don't get me wrong, I applaud the effort FFG is putting into making arc-dodging less easy (worse rolls, limited use "Engine Upgrade"), but it's not hard to slip back into 1.0 territory

Hopefully in 2.0 the company will do more playtesting before releasing new content.

True, but we also know absolutely nothing about point costs. The most promising part of 2.0 is that it looks like they'll be able to keep things on a much shorter leash.

Conspiracy theory:

FFG released Lowhrick, Rau etc. because they didn't have enough playtesting time on them

they spent it all testing 2.0

Looks like Soontir is capped at three evades total. Evade tokens don't add results anymore. That is yuge.

You might even say they are fickle. :P

good ol 2.0, different...but familiar

...all too familiar ?

EDIT: also just got confirmed,

1.) cloaking is exactly the same

it takes place in the same phase as bombs dropping, before dials are revealed (so just like before, but they've distinguished the timing by making its own phase)

2.) Interceptors have "autothrusters"

Autothrusters now reads: after performing an action, you can perform a red boost/roll action

so sort of push the limit, just no focus + evade stacking

also confirmed "aces" are much more expensive than generics ("you're going to pay for it")

3.) more assurances that you won't need to buy multiple faction kits to hunt for specific generic upgrades}

all kits come with all the same faction-generic upgrades

Core has 3 Asteroids and 3 Debris

YV-666 apparently has reinforce

which you know, makes sense. you can't hunt wookies if you aren't as good as a wookie ship

now you're the bigger fish in the sea

They didn't say, just that they would be giving them new names with their subtitle being their old ones.

FFG wouldn’t be the 1st company to do this in recent history.

I absolutely believe this. Nym too.

They said there is a path to conversion. So the first conversion kit will not be the last conversion kit. So example (From Frank): Any new pilots/Upgrades that come out for the Lambda will be released in some form of a conversion kit. So you will not need to buy the new Lambda if you already own one. So You will need multiple conversion kits, but you'll buy them over time and they will be updated with new stuff.

Nice! This was the last thing I was a little worried about.

They've said on the stream that high PS will be much more expensive.

I also recall reading or hearing that some upgrades will cost more on specific ships and/or pilots.

Good lordy, what is Omega Leader becomes Lockdown for reals?

Can someone recap the changes to Reinforce? They just discussed it, but I missed the finer point of the changes. I just recall them saying it wasn't as effective vs swarms as the old mechanic.

that's a shame, since ACTION bombs were about the only way lower PS had an advantage over higher PS (apart from rigged cargo, which is basically an action "bomb", and snap shot)

hopefully you actually pay premium for "initiative" now

While removing action mines does remove a major weapon in the Low PS v High PS War, they have really hammered double repositioning for most ships (maybe Interceptors/A-Wings can still???) so that at least removes some of the advantage high PS ships had.

TLT confirmed gone.

Confirmed. TLT is dead. Gone. No longer in the game.
