Many people have expressed concerns about conversion kit shortages, especially at launch.

However, I haven't seen anyone express similar concerns regarding a shortage of Standard Card Game transparent sleeves. From what we're seeing, EVERYTHING in X-Wing 2.0 will be using them. The days of the Mini-American Board Game Sleeves are coming to and end. If you don't start stocking up now, you will be completely unprepared for the coming Sleevepocalypse.

Umm, they're called penny sleeves for a reason. I think the cost of sleeves are rounding error, no? And certainly X-wing won't create a worldwide shortage of penny sleeves?

When I first started X-wing I ordered 12 packs of FFG clear sleeves, planning to sleeve every pilot... I think I have 10 packs still unopened from being too lazy to sleeve new expansions except for the cards I needed.

Or, you unsleeve the 1st Edition cards before you put them in a box and just reuse the sleeves...

Umm, considering every Wal-Mart I've ever been into has a mountain of standard card sleeves, I think we'll be fine.

The conversion kits come with sleeves.

Doesn’t the product page for the 2.0 core set say it’ll use standard and mini American sleeves?
