Mustache Report - Worlds Day 1a

@BrobaFetton table 2. He is first player against Kristjan's Station assault.

GARM! vs @JJs Juggernaut

JJ is 2nd player, with his Station Assault.

Do you know who had initiative, broba or Kristjan? Sure broba is first but did Kristjan give it to him?

That I do not know.

What's Broba running @BiggsIRL?

Table 4 is the last of the 22s. Nicholas Litrenta and his Fire-Dic vs double ISD Scott Bellemy with 21. 21 has a hard run of it but could still squeek in with some help up the tables.

My bad. I see I haven't covered him in depth. Stand by.

Raddus with mc75, cr90, transport, 7x yt2400 and jan.

I'm betting one of the reasons a vsd-I has gotten this far with that loadout is because he's high-bid second player designed to crush raddus nesting dolls.

Much as I'd like to see this as proof vsds can cut it in the current meta, I think it's this far because it's a counter play against the predominant archetype of the event. I'd like to see how he played against twin isds.

um...no.

Maybe in your local area yes. But that build was taken to the main stage on the previous worlds, which is what brought it into the light more broadly. Before that, I hadn't much of anyone using the title and the forums had plenty of posts about how the title stunk.

um..yes.

There is rebel aces, and the n there is rebel aces. Two builds aren't necessarily the same or played the same. But that's actually besides the point. My point was, the list that won, the configuration, idea and improvements where initiated by Yik. During play-testing nothing could beat it so all 3 players in the group took it to Worlds and it won.

Also the title has never been seen as junk in "my local area". Plus there was way more subtlety around how that list was put together that was quite unique, e.g the upgraded flotilla. If Gallant Haven was nerfed and no other nerfs were made in the last FAQ then the list would still be borderline broken. The Galant Haven nerf was completely unwarranted quite frankly .

The real problem was relay and all the multiplier effects that the rebels had combined together. It was a big mistake to release Relay in its inital state, same with flotillas, they are way way too cheap considering how hard they are to kill.

@BrobaFett

MC-75 - Aspiration, Expanded Launchers, ECM, ACM, Ord Experts, Intel Officer

Cr90A - Raddus, Engine Techs, Jaina's Light, TRC

GR-75 - Toryn Farr, Bright Hope

Swap the lists and who's running them.

How many Raddus builds were there, as percent of the pool? Do we have a breakdown for overall % vs top-4 %?

No real surprises.

Yup. I think last FAQ did miss a mark by not excluding flotillas from Most Wanted.

Other than that it just shows the negative pressure of strategic on objective pool.

Table 4 not looking good for a 10-1. ISD and Quasar pulled from the board already.

Table 3 has JJs dropping one of the AF2s. Looking good for him.

Raddus hasn't dropped Table 2.

Table 1 we have a dead Raddus Drop!

Totally agree. Flotillas shouldn't be allowed for most wanted. Frankly I'm a little surprised to see it as most popular. But then I always looked at it as elevating your risk if you're not running MSU.

Table 4 is a tabling of Sloane, but with the Cymoon flagship down.

Still no drop on Table 2...

Hard luck Scott! 2-2 should be proud.

Got any photos of the other 3 top tables Biggs?

Table 1 is done...

292 to 144. Yik wins!

That is 148, so an 8-3. Michel is at 30, opening a path from below...
