Ah, ok.
Thanks for correcting me on that!

Makes sense. Maybe if they do revamp their equipment or supplier they could come up with a less slippery surface while they're at it...
I know Legion uses 6'x 3' but you wouldn't have overlap between the Armada players and the Legion players for the same product (SKU). I think anyway - space vs. land imagery...
And back on the original topic... I really want to go to Worlds again, maybe next year. It was fun playing and meeting some people I only "knew" online.
Edited by Ken-ObiBack to the topic at hand: I needs me some rankings!!!

THATS AN HOUR AWAY. HOW WILL I WASTE TIME AT WORK **** IT BIGGS.
Also seriously thank you for everyone posting updates, or providing the community with various messages in various side chats. I think we all have people we're rooting for and it's really helpful having these comms coming out to help satiate our excitement / anxiety.

um...no.
Maybe in your local area yes. But that build was taken to the main stage on the previous worlds, which is what brought it into the light more broadly. Before that, I hadn't much of anyone using the title and the forums had plenty of posts about how the title stunk.

You rock Biggs.
Rebel players have won all three previous Worlds. Although I'm a Rebel player, I really hope an Imp wins this year.

Yik controls his destiny. A 5 point loss is enought to hold off 3rd place and secure top 2.
Michel needs a solid win to guarentee it. 7 points is enough to clear 3rd place.
23 or 22 points CAN make it in, but need a lot of help. They need a good split at the top tables, and to wipe their opponent as well.
Edited by BiggsIRLWhile both Yik and Michael could make top 2 with some help from down the tables, there is no split that guarentees both get in.
Only four round day one? Thought it was five for some reason. *Edit* Yup, look at that.
Edited by TruthinessIf I were on top table, I'd probably just play for the 6-5 and ensure the trip to the next. And I couldn't imagine them not knowing that going into the round. And although that might seem like a cheap game to everyone else, they've rightfully earned it with their superior play in those first three rounds.
Yes, there's no split that guarantees it, but at that level of competition, getting those 10-1s demonstrates superior play and becomes really difficult at the upper levels.

Was it Euros that was thinking of going to 5?

US Nationals was 5 rounds.

Yeah, they also ran extra Swiss instead of elimination.
I just know there was RECENT talk of 4 vs 5 rounds, and if it wasn’t Worlds, I think Not was Euros

If I were Michel I would still want to play to win a 7-4 and guarentee Top 2. There are a lot of potential 10-1s in the final round and you dln't want to take that chance.

Well, I wouldn't turn around and run in an odd direction, but I also wouldn't overly take chances. Which is to say that the possibility of a 7-4 is there if your opponent makes a mistake and gives it to you. Thus you're flexible. You can take advantage of mistakes, but you aren't exactly trying to risk much either.

Keep in mind that he's threatened only from Kristjan 10-1 in the case of winning 6-5. Everyone else is 1 pt short if I get it right.
Has the final round actually started?
And if so photos of that jam please
It was announced (leaked really) 5 rounds early and changed to 4 when they posted the official public announcement
I think I'm honestly just thinking of last year when it was one massive day one with five rounds and the top 4 cut.
Michel wins the bid 398-400. Chooses 2nd player. Solar Corona is chosen.
No the original copy of the announcement had 5 rounds this year, with the tokens needing 3 wins to get the first one.. but that was "found" and not really publicly posted, when it went officially live it was 4 rounds needing 2 wins for the first token set.
The real question is.. how hard is it to get spare Leia and Gladiator cards for us that have to trade for them?
