I just finished the video of the 2.0 play through
My takeaway thoughts are ( in no particular order)
- Feel is important, and that is a really good thing. The designers made the ships to feel like how they are supposed to and they can price them later. This is good design.
-Getting back to the roots of the game (and Star Wars) The play style of the game seems way more Star Warsy and back to what exited me so much about the game when I first started. Position and out guessing your opponent are way more important.
-The U wing is great. I love how they changed it’s pivot options (90 degrees FTW!) and adding the coordinate action.
-Jek is a hero. -SPOILER
-Love proton torpedo (and other ordinance) charge dynamic. A one and done shot for protons was terrible in 1.0. This is cool. A flight of X wings armed with PT will terrify the Empire!!!
-Stress mechanic seems nerfed a bit but maybe that’s because there weren’t any stress dealing ships.
-Barrel rolling simplifying is probably a good thing. And Barrel rolling X wings is a GREAT thing.
-I am hyped for 2.0. Honestly it’s hard to want to play 1.0 at all while I wait for 2.0.
