I'll start by saying that I do not currently play X-wing. I did in wave's 1-3, but got out then.

This isn't about the pros/cons of the decision FFG made to make a 2.0 of the game.

My commentary is thus: If the upgrades and list building for the competitive environment will be regulated by this app they are producing, Then maybe an individual player will no longer be required to have physical copies of upgrades/equipment etc. Meaning that as long as you had the base, dial, and pilot card for a given ship, maybe upgrades will no longer have to be physically present?
