(2) No. But I'll have to back off IA and Legion purchases to compensate -- and I already dropped Armada for Legion.

Favourite minis game... YES.
Not upgrading to 2.0. Purchase one each for sure. But over 400 ships and thousands of printed upgrade cards. Many House Rules.
Also playing ASL and only one Double Epic each month now.
Perhaps if air to ground rules included...

And no way is it going to stop me, I the 1.0 model we'd be spending way more than that on ships w might never want anyway to stay relevant, are certain people forgetting the past few years?
In fact, since I started getting into Armada, this is the first tile I've been genuinely excited for X-Wing.
Plus, if it was just mute waves I'd be spending at least this muchanyway.

Yes it's my first miniatures game.
No it won't stop me playing, roll on Second Edition!
No. (Played Star Wars Miniatures Game from Wizards of the Coast first, which, although not a hobby miniatures game, is nust as much miniatures game as X-Wing. Runewars is my first hobby tabletop miniatures game.)
No. (The price is fine, especially if you have a play group and need to buy multiple conversion kits for different factions. If you are supplying everything for home play, conversion kits get expensive.

No this isn't my first Table Top miniatures game. I've been playing war type strategy games for many years, I just choose to not say how many years ?

Maybe just the opposite. I dropped out of X-Wing around Wave IX. I've been playing another miniature game and completely loving it. It really does well everything X-Wing doesn't.
But this is Star Wars and I already have a decent sized collection collecting dust. If I can't bring it back to the table with some of the things I love about the other game. Maybe I give it another go. But yes... it will be at a cost.
[edit: I wasn't as limited in my response, then I went and added this. oops ?]
Edited by Ken at SunriseNo (technically, I bought a lot of GW stuff in my youth, but never really played it, and I've played a bunch of FFG minis games in the past but not owned them)

No, quite the contrary, I had already been on the way to convince myself to get rid of the game.
First, last and only.
And as I haven’t bought a ship in a good 4 waves, buying back into the competitive scene just got a whole lot cheaper ?
Yes.
No. I can spend $300 to convert my $1500 worth of ships into a new game. Sounds like a bargain.
No and no. Made the jump to this after GW invalidated my wood elves months after releasing them. This is nothing. This is FFG bending over backwards to keep previous product workable.
No, Armada was my first, X-Wing is my second.
No, it won't.
