Share Your Questions About X-Wing™ Second Edition Here

Nice with medium bases, that was something I asked for long ago already.

Are timelines more clearly separated, or do we still have Kylo with his lond dead grandfather going against an even longer dead Assaj?

Will there be now clear KEYWORDS, which are consequently, unambigiously and unified used? No fuzzy things like "immediately" or weird different timing for things which are otherwise identical?

Take e.g. Dominion where every is clear cut, even 10 expansions in and several hundred cards later everything is easy to grasp, very very few rule issues. Would love to have the same crisp and clear rules here.

FO and Resistance are completely separate factions and will be converted in wave 2.

They certainly claim that there has been better templating and keywording, and most of the cards we've seen so far do seem to be consistent with that. I doubt it'll get to Dominion levels, because in the end it's a MUCH more complex and wooly game, but they're trying.

Why are these conversion kits so expensive? I’ve already spent hundreds of dollars to get to where I’m at, I don’t see myself spending that much money for the same ships with different looking cards and stuff. Like someone else said, I have 8 X-wings, just to get 8 2nd edition ones is a couple hundred dollars... How is this going to impact 1st edition material if we choose not to upgrade?

Is the app gonna be free, since it’s required for 2nd edition? Would be kind of BS to have to pay for that along with the conversions/expansions. Does it support 1st edition material?

There’s lots of questions being asked here and no answers given.

How do small/medium/large ship boosts work?

Why have you not included a damage deck, set of rules and templates in the conversion kit?

these omissions add quite a bit to the cost of upgrading for players with existing collections and at the same time supply us with surplus ships.

maybe because they are optionally the same? can use same templates? and DDeck?

Sorry, have not read too much today, and not this thread, but the most important thing: does the Hawk now have a two dice primary, is it medium base, and does it have a better dial?

as of now we do not know, however I suspect it will get a fix...

Will there be two damage decks in the new core set? That way two people can play a game out of the box. I got three of the first core, two of the second so that multiple people can play in league and home

So how do i feel? I feel as if I have been punched in the gut.

I have supported this game through thick and thin since launch. Now, my collection spans about 4 of most ship and almost 20 ties and xwings.

And now it's all useless because I cannot justify spending another $250 just to play with the new edition.

I understand that this is a business and a luxury item, blah blah blah, but you asked how I felt and there ya go.

Will new damage decks be included in the conversion kits or do we need to get one from the new core set?

Since.. 5 months from now?

So are there upgrade cards anymore or not? FFG seems to state on the one hand that upgrade cards are handled by the app, yet there are photos of upgrade cards of R2 and proton torpedoes in the FAQ. Do these conversion boxes contain an arsenal of upgrade cards as well? It seems unlikely. It sounds like we are getting $50 worth of cardboard dials and ship cards. This release has been poorly executed with not enough information.

I think the upgrade cards points are handled by the app, not the cards themselves.

Upgrades are still there and there will definitely be some in the conversion kits.

The app just sets the points costs, for everything, ships included, as well as potentially some things like limited list setups for tournaments etc..

Wow. Lots of people that can’t be bothered to read the articles it seems.

1. Is the app free? both to download, and to use?

2. Does the app allow the option to have the two players have their squads just displayed on their corresponding laptops/tablets, or do we still need to mess with cards (other than damage deck)? (I'm thinking casual play more than tournaments)

3. I also want to know what's happened to the imperial slave 1.

4. I also want to know if future epic conversion kits will also include conversions for the escort ships originally included with e.g. the rebel transport and imperial raider, or if those conversions are covered by the imperial/rebel conversion kits available with wave 1.

Why?

This is another plea to urge FFG to make Epic 2.0 a reality in early 2019. I am all in with X-Wing 2.0 and pleased with what we have learned so far about the reboot, but in the coming months after the intial release, I want to have the option of playing Epic as part of the revised game.

Can we use our 1.0 aftermarket maneuver templates? This is a big deal for me.

Will 2ED be translated and available officially in other parts of the world?

Did you acquire the rights to sell it in Asia as well?

Will we finally get official support in Asia?

Watched the live stream, read the FAQ, still a little confused on the “center line” on the movement templates: will the new templates (and that line) be necessary for Second Edition, or will First Edition templates (particularly custom acrylics) still work?

How will Epic ships be upgraded to 2ED?
