X-wing Second Edition GRIPE CHECKLIST!

There’s a lot of talk about people selling their collections but here’s the thing; if people are selling then people are buying. Blood in, blood out. Every collection sold is still a player with spaceships. Do what’s right for you but selling collections is no measure of how healthy things are/will be in 6 months.

Now I’m going to sell my Armada collection to fund my x-wing 2.0 purchasing :)

That is not so, the buyers are already players of xwing who find the opportunity to improve their fleet at low price. The problem is that many of those who stop buying more ships, and we are enough, we will leave an important gap. FFG could have improved Xwing, and fix the mistakes that they themselves have created, but at the cost of players paying it dearly.

People are going to have extra ships from their conversion kits. You will be able to purchase individual ship upgrades on the second-hand market. Or trade with friends! Mark my words

I saw a rumor that there will be a limited edition 2.0 damage deck for stand-alone sale. I'm going to buy that and avoid purchasing the new core set.

Also you need new rules, to be able to do the 1 with barrel. I dont think they'll take out a stand-alone sale deck.

FFG should have included all that material in the kits.

Here's a minor thing: looking at card art so far, I have no idea glancing at a ship what upgrades it can take. That's bothersome to me.

absolutely, objectively better. Larger, crisper, far better definition. It is, however, the same thing you're getting in Saw's (different paint scheme aside)

also bigger box - more things that can come in the box. it's the law of physical dimensions, or something. Let's call it "common sense"

also,

That's not too bad. I was half expecting FFG to pull an imperial assault -> legion on us and make the new ships a tiny bit bigger so our existing models look wrong on the table.

It's going to be a long time till I have all my ships converted.

We should get a table together. :)

Basketball court, more like...

The wording on the cards is kind of nebulous.

" increase the difficulty of the manuever".

But... to what? 1 extra difficulty?

(green becomes) blue becomes white becomes red (becomes fireball)

<- looks at cost complaints

<- looks at raft of B&N gift cards acquired via credit-card point rebates

<- chuckles softly

<- chuckles again for another reason which he can't mention here... >:)

I’m sorry, that new sculpt is laughably bad. (Paint is better though).

Anyone who thinks this is worth a 33% price increase is welcome to waste that extra money.

This is just another aspect of the 2.0 money grab by FFGW.

Good luck finding many X-, Y- or K-Wings on the second-hand market. Or TIE's, for that matter.

Just a thought. What if all the casual players said "screw it, I'll play Version 1 casual". Can the competitive players keep X-wing afloat?

I'm kind of a casual player along with my brother and so when we play against each other one of the best things with the conversion kits is you get around 3 of each ships dials so for people like us who have 1 of every other ship we can now play 3 of each ship and just have a x wing head on a b wing. Saved us a tone of money tbh.

No shield and bomb tokens in the conversion kits.

They are about as necessary as new templates (except the 1s) or models.

Nice to have, but ultimately unnecessary

If you ever play a game where all of those ships need to be on the table at once, you better post a batrep. `
