No dice changes is a bit of a miss, but this is early. I would have liked to see accuracy and damage separated and surges could have given some interesting effects that could be changed for each pilot.

If they are going to revamp the game, why not do agility more like D&D?

2dG+1, 1dG+2, etc...

2 and 3, transitioning to 4, 5, and 8 as the meta actually forms. Depends on how early all the existing changes are spoiled, but I expect there to be a time of some significant overlap between post-GenCon spoilers and meta complaints truly taking hold.

I don't know that they're evil--it may be good. I'm just thinking about how much I'm going to have to shell out to play. One faction at a time, I guess. (call it sticker shock)

so in order to make your current ships "legal"... it will cost you $150.... how anyone can say this is a good thing is beyond me.

the app removes the need to buy expansions you don't want to get the cards you need to compete in top level tournies

but if the app sucks...

3. People bumping their new X-wings all over the table when they try to open and close the S-foils. (To be fair, this was coming regardless.)

1: squad builder not working properly. They've said it'll be free.

2: Old template sets not being fully legal.

I get that some mechanics and older ships are now irrelevant, but if FFG really is doing this for the purposes of fixing the game then they shouldn't be SELLING me the tools i need to keep playing something i already paid for.

If this was a video game, it would be the equivalent of charging for a patch.

ideally, 2.0 is more interesting than 1.0

As I read the lists of what's in the conversion kits (crap, I'm probably going to buy like 2 of each of those to fly a lot of lists I like...), here's one thing which strikes me: I don't see First Order/Resistance stuff listed. B/SF-17 Bomber, TIE Silencer at least. Perhaps T-70, TIE/SF, TIE/FO are titles applied to baseline X-Wings and TIE Fighters, but still: I don't see Silencer or Resistance Bomber listed.

Resistance and first order conversion kits are coming wave II

Resistance and FO are own factions now. Epic ships aren't in the conversion kits either. Guess they'll cost extra again.

What about the guys that use 5 A-Wings or 4 B-Wings? How many conversions are in a "kit"?
