Well, there is a lot of representation there for a little tourney FFG puts on called Worlds....If all the Non-x-wing players got together and kindly let the dev's know how their communities felt, not just Armada, but All of them....
Heck, the x-wing players in it form the beginning probably would have something to say as well, to be totally honest....
If I was told I had to re-buy at least 50% into a game I had been playing from it's inception, in order to move forward competitively with said game, I'd be pretty disillusioned with that company. I mean, if you had to pay for new card bases for your Armada ships to go to tourneys, as well as to comply with complete rules changes, how would you feel?

Eh...35-40$ for the base set, and $50 per faction, and you get to use all your old plastic doesn't sound terrible. Those conversion kits are going to have a lot of stuff in them.

Actually I’d be fine with one day paying for conversion kits in armada.
