From the Hyperspace Report article:
QuoteIf you aren’t coming to the May World Championships, or you won’t be in town until later in the week, not to worry! The Star Wars Hyperspace Report will be streaming live on the Fantasy Flight Games Twitch channel here . You can watch the Star Wars Hyperspace Report starting at 12:00 P.M. Central Time, then keep watching our channel all week for our coverage of the 2018 May World Championships.
Can it be watched after the streaming ends? Im third Earth far from central time
I'm not super familiar with Twitch, but I think it depends on if the streamer decides to allow it or not.
I think sometimes they make the entire stream available. Other times it's either split into chunks or added to another platform like YouTube.
Anyone stumbled onto this yet?
Fantasy Flight reviving Deciphers SWCCG confirmed!
Edited by jconway2002Summary so far: X-Wing 2.0, color-blind friendly, conversion kits available per faction, free app required for squad building (FFG-adjustable point costs, possibly other "living rules") also allowing tournaments to have specific restrictions. Available at GenCon 2018, in retail September.

Is there any program list for this thing? Or do I have to watch all 5 hours to not miss the IA talk (if there even is one)?
The Hyperspace Report event was announced to be 1 hour, so I doubt there will be anything for other games.
We're current seeing the X-Wing 2.0 designer panel.
Oh? What did you mean by this then?

(The 12pm to 5pm I quoted was probably from the Galactic Alliance video comment section. It's not there anymore though.)

I love what they are doing with X-wing. I hope they do the same with IA.

I don't think that we need a new edition or anything, but I love their ideas for the app and for organized play. Holding beginner and themed (!) tournaments in addition to the regular competitive tournaments sounds like a really fun idea.

Yes, I love the app. I love that the cards do not have point values on them and are controlled by the app. I also love the themed events. Some good stuff here that could translate well to Imperial Assault.

Yeah especially an upgrade kit for a lot of the old skirmish models that don't see the light of competitive play.
X-Wing 2.0 looks cool, but I wish FFG had been open about the Hyperspace Report being specifically X-Wing. They definitely implied it would be about "upcoming Star Wars products" without making the obvious specification that it was just for one game.
Seems kinda under-handed, to me.
So announcements for some of the star wars games ended at x-wing?

Yeah, it did feel a bit misleading. Oh well
Wait. What? I though they were just taking a break between sessions.

I dunno- maybe we'll see something else at Worlds, but as far as this specific panel goes, apparently it was just X-Wing.
So, there's another nail in the coffin of "FFG can't make digital content because it infringes on Hasbro's license. "

What do you mean?
Hasbro holds the Star Wars License for boardgames (and FFG has an agreement with Hasbro). What has digital content have to do with it?
X-Wing is a miniatures game, X-Wing 2.0 is a miniatures game, FFG holds the Star Wars license for miniatures games.
(As long as the digital content isn't a videogame.)

People long, and incorrectly held that the reason the RPG books were not available as a digital download was that to make ANY digital content would infringe on EA's license.
These same people refused to believe that the IA app would ever happen, or believed that FFG was not developing it when they announced they were and were absolutely sure that something catastrophic would happen when it was released because of this same specious argument.

Having just gotten into X-Wing recently -- my son has been playing for nearly 2 years, and recently I bought a friend's X-Wing collection so I could play more with him & other friends -- I'm actually a little upset that list building is now a living document instead of printed. Additionally they announced that there's going to be very little crossover between upgrade cards, unlike the current system.
One of the things that brought me into X-wing was how list building can be a fun & unique experience. It's a similar high I get from juggling IA armies. In X-Wing, there's a higher bar of comprehension, but once you get how all the mechanics work, it's fun to dive into a list builder and juggle older upgrades with newly released ones. Lately I've been tweaking a list with the YT-2400 & Poe. The list isn't exactly tier-1 meta, but it matches up fairly well thanks to some newer upgrade cards on both ships.
However, I understand *why* they are controlling list building costs through the app/website & limiting sharing of upgrade cards. The X-Wing meta gets VERY IMBALANCED, VERY QUICKLY when they release new materials. Since I've been following the game, it seems like they update their FAQ every 3 months to patch exploits players find in playtesting that the developers do not. If I was fully invested in playing X-Wing competitively, I would probably be more accepting of the living list building rules.
