Calling it now...

Because there were multiple products! New core set, 3 conversion kits, etc. :)

Looking back at the announcement article for this presentation, it really is our fault for building anything up:

They never said they'd be discussing news for all of the current product lines. We just added info/meaning to that statement that we wanted to be there.

This is 100% correct. If they had said, "We have a special X-Wing announcement," it wouldn't have been too hard to guess what it was.

I am interested in the news. I would have been more interested in Legion news, but it was never promised and there is enough unreleased product for me to anticipate already. I see no reason to be upset.

Definitely. Anything that hinted at just X-Wing would've clearly given it away. This has been anticipated and clamored for for some time now.

It also would've reduced the size of audience, so maybe 2 reasons they didn't want to be specific, hehe.

Sure it would reduce the size of the audience. If you came for something other than X-wing, you wouldn't have gone. More people interested in X-wing would have gone instead.

I feel I called it.

What’s more, the First Order and Resistance have been reformed into their own distinct factions, separate from the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire, with their own themes, strengths, and weaknesses.

They should just make more Factions now.

So no ewoks

Probably not for a while.

They would be fun to mess around with, but they'd require a lot of things in order to begin to become playable, things that aren't in the game as of yet for it.

Did notice that the release date is 13 September, that is most impressive of FFG.
