Worlds Prep

By rasproteus, in Star Wars: Armada

I was about to take my weekly shower yesterday, but decided to wait until tomorrow or Wednesday as a courtesy to the other Armada players.

What are you guys doing to prepare for Worlds?

I’m considering starting a new thread about worlds, because seeing the front page full of forums posts with people excited about something beats the usual rage and tears.

Panicking. Repeated, lengthy panicking.

Buying popcorn. Going to eat it by the handfuls waiting for people to text me results.

This week I believe.

Last time I prayed for Norm's destruction his town was swept away in a biblical flood. That wasn't exactly what I had in mind. I'm gonna hold off this time since we're sharing a flight home.

I have been prepping for world's by playing a lot of games - starting as soon as I get back home from work ending late into the morning.

Too bad I'm playing Battletech...

I'm growing a beard... Several family members have pleaded for me to shave and they have all been rebuked! Upon my return I will either shave it or open a day home called Beardy Joe's.

I am currently researching this "shower" and "deodorant" thing @rasproteus keeps insisting on. I may need to bring pants too.

"Cuando el río suena, agua lleva"

I never wanted to acknowledge that someone could avoid water before going to a zulo to play some armada games. But that must be definitely true. Competitive play can reach some crazy levels of metagame.
