As i was reading some fluff texts that comes with the expansions i found out a lot of names of potential heroes for the waiqar. What do you think we will see in the next future? So far i think (and many fellow gamers in my area think similarly) Waiqar heroes are no way near the daqan or latari ones. I think we would see some waiqar blight giving hero that could spend it for some abilities (or at least i would looove to see it) coubled with some undead dragon OR heavy armored skeleton Infantry. reanimates then would be a meat to grind that is extreemly cheap while those heavy units would propably also regenerate but be much much much more expensive and they could have maby 2 armor (3 would be too much i think). As for the daqan it could be some land lord that is fragile but could mess up the initiatives of actions and for the unit i would also love to see some heavy swordsmen for example or maby phalanx that could melee attack up to range 1 but couldnt charge. Elves could get a pegasus cavalery that can ignore terrain and hero releated to that and for the uthuk i dont have any idea to be honest. Maby some witch ranged units that summons blood rain? Anyway im curious about your ideas for the future of this wonderfull game
Your predictions
I particularly want to talk about possible Waiqar heroes, because that hasn't been brought up very often. Kyndrithul, a vampire who features in Descent: Journeys in the Dark, seems to be a pretty good bet. I predict he would have shifty, elf-like movement to represent the bat-like nature of vampires. He will also likely be able to heal as he destroys units, similar to Viscera Goblet.
Another possibility is a banshee, as seen in BattleLore: 2nd Edition. It could be a unit, but I fear it would be too similar to the Wraiths. A banshee would make an excellent hero for Waiqar's faction, and add a female character to that faction, like all of the others. She would specialize in giving out panic tokens, which would help the Reanimates by giving their morale modifier some synergy.
Alternatively, there could be another skeleton general, much like Ardus, but female instead. She wouldn't have to look particularly feminine because she would be an armored skeleton corpse. But the lore could talk a bit about her past and how she came to serve Waiqar. Perhaps she would be a more nimble warrior, with lighter armor and lower initiative values than Waiqar. Maybe even like a "Dark Kari" with a bow and arrow.
I listed these in order of most likely to least likely, in my opinion. I'm sure there are other awesome ideas, but these are what came to mind first.
If you put Fury on Ardus and keep a two tray unit of archers within range 2 of him he’s a pretty good blight factory. He can be a decent shield for the archers too, especially if you can keep a Worm in charge range to threaten the flank of anything that piles into him.

I really like this setup and have tried it several times. The blight potentially hinders melee attacks against him, and with MCW on the archers or a Lancer close by he also delivers some pain. However last game (against Karithorne) my 2x1 archers got 1-shotted by 3x1 Crossbowmen with Tempered steel and Ranked discipline, which led to a LOT of Ardus fizzles
I’ve yet to face crossbowmen. Our local community is small but growing so we’re still finding our feet. Most of us are ex-WFB players who either swore off Workshop years ago or when AoS replaced WFB (or the Second Great Betrayal if you know your GW history ). Pretty much every time we introduce a new player we get a convert. There are already more RW players than AoS players locally.
